Great video ! I've been a drummer for over thirty years. Recently I bought a cheap resonator and started teaching myself the music I really love from Son House, Lightning Hopkins, etc... I can only learn so much on my own, so I'm happy to have found you. Keep'em coming ok ? Hey how about that... you actually taught a drummer. Peace...
I am a beginning slide player and have been looking to find licks for ages. People try and overdo these things when teaching, but you are spot on. Thanks.
Thanks you so much for showing the different slides....I'm JUST learning!! The slide I have is HUGE (being a women) can only play it on my middle finger. Guess I will have to buy some more so I can mix it up and see what feels good to me. Thank you again Mr al0102030405 your the best :)
Funny, I was at a party a while back and it came time for a solo , i looked around for my slide but it was in my guitar case.. so i grabbed my buddy's lighter from the table and blew everyone away!! I actually like the sound of it
great video mate, I just introduced myself to slide playing and you tought me everyhting a novice need to know, especially about the choice of the slide(bottle neck or whatever u call it) thank u very much, but still i recomend you invest in a mic ^^ simply for volume and it would be even better to appreciate to differences between the different slides and picks ^^. 5*!
hi there, nice vid, was just wondering on how set my guitar up for slide, i see a lot players playing dobro's but i was just wanting to start playing some slide on my fender acoustic but the slide knocks around a lot over the wood and doesnt sound very good tbh could easily be my slide playing but i know sometimes u have to change the action on ur guitar to suit to slide, i have the silver slide u use in the vid
Great vid thanks a lot, in your next vid it would be nice if you could describe what kinda fret patterns you play, its a little hard to tell what slide your fret is really over. Thanks a bunch
Been looking for an Alabama resonator in YT vids. Similar one (I think) in my local pawn shop caught my eye. Sounds nice. You are very pleasant and I like the demo of various slides!

Do you know any good website where I can check for Open the Chords and scales?
I'm asking this because I found a pdf on the internet with wrong chords, so I can't trust everthing that pops up.

If, when you'r in standard tuning, put the capo on the second fret you'll be in open D tuning?
Thanks for any typ of answer.
Regards // The nuub.

No, you have to tune down to open D from standard tuning. Look on here for a video that shows you how.
That guitar is tuned lower than open D, he is using the capo to bring the tuning up to open D.

Thanks for the comment. I keep practicing and hoping to get better. There are a lot of far greater slide players on youtube.

This is an Alabama resonator. They're just another cheap Chinese model, some are pretty good though, I like this one.
