@sanluiskaren I can answer that. In the video games, Jill was assumed dead for a while but returns in the 5th game as Wesker's test subject and, I guess you could say, follower. She is under Wesker's control because of the device on her chest and for some reason looks different. In the 3rd movie, Alice mentions to Carlos that she had to leave them because Umbrella was keeping tabs on her. Carlos and LJ were with the envoy but Jill wasn't, implying that something bad must've happened to her.

@sanluiskaren - In RE5 the game, jill apparently has blonde hair because a virus she contracted or something like that. and i believe she wasn't in the 3rd movie because she wasn't available for filming. nonetheless the writers have kept her in the franchise which is awesome as she is one of the main characters in the games and shud b the main character in the films in my opinion.
