As I said in the author's comments, I've rewritten the translation to fit the rhythm and rhyme of the song. So no, it's not the "exact" translation, but I've tried my very best to stick to Shakira's original intention as much as possible.

I think this is a good translation because you stayed within the boundaries of the original song and made it sound good in English. But there were some parts that sounded a bit awkward. For example, "preferring silence to death". "Death" is a one syllable word but that part requires at least three syllables. My favorite parts were "Apologies existed long before you did" and "I swear I'm not lying".
