superdimYEH You've only gotta see a header with s/one driving with a bird on the hand to KNOW that many sickos are gonna negatively comment. The same sickos that'll use their cell phones while driving. Makes you kinda hate even reading comments. Y/tube needs a moderator.
@rheiney29 if it's your first bird DEFFO budgie. a lovebird can shatter your eardrums with their out of this world high pitched shrieks and bite of your fingers if it feels like it.
a budgie is harmless even if poorly trained and aggressive.
Person bellow me needs to calm their tits down , he clearly has control- eyes on road- and all he's doing is using two fingers to rub bb's head. It's not that serious
@spinjoh Well you know you're typically supposed to have two hands on the wheel for safety. They don't really need to calm down, they have every right to be concerned. When you're on the road, you want every other driver to put safety first for you don't want them to hit you, your family or anyone else if something does happen.
How did you get your lovebird to be so friendly? I purchased mine from an exotic pet shop and she absolutely hates me. I got her to trust me enough to pet her for only a second and I give her treats and she just tries to bite me. I don't know what else to do.
The thing is, with lovebirds,it is better to buy them hand fed or tamed because they are very territorial animals when it comes to training a wild one. Since you already got her, i would clip her wings just long enough for her to trust you. So, for example, keep cutting her wings even if it takes months. then, when she is finally used to you, dont cut her wings.wing clipping is not bad. it is like human hair cuts. the wing grows back. youtube how to do it though so shes not hurt.
Lovebirds actually do quite well if they are solo. As long as you give them the right attention, they are fine. This little guy seems very loved! What a beautiful love bird!
You Wankers, put other road-users lives at risk with your moronic way of driving. You'll say 'bye-bye bebe' if a lorry fucking hits you Wankers head-on!
my tiels won't stay in their cage in the car. they panic until i let them out and theyre up on my shoulders. my boy likes to sit on the seatbelt bit so he can climb down onto my thigh and my girl likes to climb up to the top of the head rest so she can see everything. all you have to do is drive safely and it's no more dangerous than a dog. and ive seen some badly behaved dogs in cars.
This is exactly why your NOT supposed to have a bird in the car like that. Fright is obvious, motion sickness is another. Think about it, when a bird flies it's moving while the objects around it are stationary. In this situation the bird is stationary while the objects are moving very fast around it. If your transporting a bird in a vehicle always have the cage covered so they cant see what's going on outside.
So many stupid people abusing their pets on youtube...ugh
Oh no you should never have a bird outside of their carrier in a car! If you are in an accident, the bird could get loose! Not to mention, if you shouldnt text and drive, or even talk on a cell phone, you shouldnt be holding a bird! If the driver gets into trouble and needs both hands in a hurry (like a near miss accident) he'll have to chuck the bird! I beg you to remove this vid as it shows people a very bad behavior on your part.
@edukee Put it in a carrier and fully or partially cover him with a towel. thats safe and secure for the bird. make sure he has somewhere stable to stand too-something fuzzy he can grip or a perch.
Cute birdy. Bebe, nice name are you from Saturn? Bebe means baby in a language associated with Saturn I think it is. Its a form of demon tongue I think, its very old.
Very cute bird! Ive heard of texting, talking on the phone, yelling at the kids to shut up but I think this is the first time Ive seen giving a bird a head rub while driving. Lol
i have a quistion mates mhm :( i am very sad bcs i have the same baby at home but he is aways flying from me seems he is scared so i dnt want to do can someone e-mail me with a tip or somethin japet@abv.bg tnx you
@FirstCirminaL how about clipping his wings, to keep him from flying away? if he's stuck with you, he may just get used to you. also try using treats as a way to bond-hand feed them to him. they also really like head rubs-its like a massage. But just move slowly, and speak calmly.

As cute as lovebirds are, it's their intelligence that has gotten me hooked. Many researchers consider parrot family birds up with the dolphins and chimpanzees as to intelligence and my precious Sis and Thumbelina could outsmart me every time and they always knew how to get their own way.
Yes and it's dangerous talking on a cell phone, eating, drinking, talking, listening to the radio, thinking about other things such as stress and work, etc.
here in ontario, canada they actually banned people from talking on your cell phone whilst driving. I think your allowed to pull over and make a call. Or, I believe you can use one of those hands-free phones. I really don't know
by the way, I have fallen in love with your little BeBe, he's so charming and cute <3
Aww that's adorable how he responds to "where's Bebe??"
I have a question, I heard that lovebirds are extremely vocal. Is it really loud/bothersome? My family wants to get a lovebird but I'm concerned that if it's very loud it'll disturb my father who has a very stressful job.
My friend her cockatiel has layed about 1,000 eggs. She was in her own cage but a male lovebird was in the cage next to her so she started laying eggs. There so small she almost ate it because it looked like a mint! Your bird is adorable. I only have a budgie but were getting a cockatiel. Nice video

I've already told you I'm not mad; that is just not safe. Do you have any idea how much it costs to raise lovies? Do you have several hundred dollars? Can you drive them to a vet if they get sick? We would never encourage anyone your age to breed birds. In fact, you want to breed two separate species of lovebirds. This is a big no-no in the lovebird world. You taint the gene pool and can create genetically unstable birds.

i don't have the time to handfeed the babies so how do i get the baby lovebirds to be tame and friendly while being "parent-fed" or is it impossible
cjlovebirds 3 years ago
Just start handling the babies when they turn 3-4 weeks old.
