@Crimsontide798 These boots are the least expensive available at Dick's Sporting Goods. Be sure to try them on before buying. If I had bought by my shoe size, they would not have fit! Needed next size for a just right fit.
In this place, there is a clay bottom and no silt. More likely to trip on stumps and large stones.
However I have been in places where the bottom mud almost pulled the boot off ... so you need to be always cautious.
ah, nice kitty instead of a snagfih! You appear to be pretty much confident wading in there, too. But that's Lake Crabtree, not a river. I remember it to be a bit muddy, or sandy, no gravel, and having not many rocks. The 2nd cat is still larger than average for this lake, I guess, or do they get much bigger in there nowadays?
@rubadux Like your river this is a spot that I have waded into a dozen times ... would not move so quickly at another spot that's unfamiliar. :^)
There is a clay base at this spot. Actually clay underlies a little of the Raleigh area.
Contrary to the exaggerated bragging of other people, these two sizes of cats are _typical_ of Lake Crabtree ... but there are larger in there too (which I occasionally get).
This is a "short subject" so it doesn't (have to) follow the format formula." :^)
i like the fact that you use and have an external mic on you that little detail makes your videos simply great

I might have to invest in some of those boots do your feet sink in the bottom of the lake
