  • your curls are freakin gorgeous

  • hi your hair is pretty what type is it?

  • Ok. First I love your hair! My hair is natural curly and so is both my daughters. I have problems with frizz. Please show your styling process. Thx

  • You have gorgeous hair!

  • How long does it take to finger detangle your hair? And what is te longest that it takes when you go too long without detangling?

  • ::reaching through screen to touch hair:: omg beautiful!!

  • Your hair is beautiful!!!

  • Nice!!! You go!!!

  • You have beautiful hair. I am subbing.

  • Hi, You said you live in Colorado, what city? Me and my girlfriend did our big chop july 011. Its been 7 months. Do you have a personal facebook? But yea, meeting up would be amazing and helpful... i have a billion and one question. And im sure she does also, her hair resembles yours alot. This Twa "in between" stage is.... well you know. lol Please respond back.

  • Omg I LOVE your hair girl!! I just decided today I want to transition to natural hair kinda scared of the BC so i may not mess with that but I really want to get curls like you girl I was just telling myself that my mama put a perm on my hair when I was about 11 and i was natural curly before that i want to go back. What do you think? I also want to know where do you get the Dive Curl products from?

  • Thank you soo much for your reply just wanted to know.

  • Hello Mahogany liked your video on Silicone Free Conditioner. You use tresemme naturals I read the ingredients and one of those ingredients (I seen was (Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine) isn't that ingredient a Silicone?)

  • @cocolish07 no, it isn't. Thank you!

  • love ur hair

  • Love ur videos i subbed!

  • you are Beautiful

  • OMG I checked that book out from the library before I went natural. It was for my daughter it was awesome

  • Loving those curls!

  • Your hair is absolutely GORGEOUS

  • Your hair is so beautiful, those curls are super cute.

  • Hair looks great. stay beautiful.

  • Hi new subbie. Your hair is so beautiful!!

  • One word............Gorgeous !

  • Do you have a tutorial for this hairstyle?

  • @IETREMY yes, it is my wash n go video :)

  • Wow you have gorgeous curls!

  • really cute look!!! seems to be working well for you. i remember i did this many years ago (curls weren't quite as defined, but..) and I got heckled "UGH, You need to get a PERM" etc etc. one guy said he never asked me out becuz I had no perm (shallow ass) so it's so funny to me how it's "trending" now & there's so many products available to support this. now, i wish i could go back :)

  • I don't know if anyones old you but you remind me of Vanessa from the cosby's

  • Your hair is really pretty!

  • I see your method but I have a question do you comb or brush your hair or do you only detangle with your fingers

  • @brandicburton -no combs or brushes, just my fingers. The only time I use a comb is when my hair is straight or when I roller setting, which is only 1 to 2x per year. :)

  • @MahoganyCurls i'd like to know whats your method to get your hair to look like that?

  • Whats the website u mentiond? Naturallycurly? N I def cnt afford deva curl products so do u suggest any other products

  • @gensanaa naturallycurly(dot)com and check out curlynikki(dot)com. Tresemme Naturals is my alternative product when I am not using Deva. It costs about $5 dollars at Wal-Mart. :)

  • Now that is some awesomely beautify natural hair!

  • That hair is sexy!

  • BEAUTIFUL Hair ~ I am going natural currently wearing half wigs to get this same look!

  • Love love your hair! Cant wait for mine to get this length! What do you use to make it grow so fast?

  • I Love your hair!!!! Amazing!!

  • Thanks for sharing

  • OMG>>>>> Where have you been?

  • This is my first time viewing your vids and I love the volume of your hair. I just did the big chop yesterday after not adding chemicals to my hair since Sept. 2010 (The perm was still hangin on). Subscribin to your page is a must!

  • What did u use on the style u have now?

  • @shontapl -this style or the flat ironed hair? For this style I have a tutorial on it called my wash n go routine 2011 and the flat ironed hair, I have a video called curly girl gone straight that discuss everything. :) I hope this helps!

  • Do you moisturize and seal during the week?

  • @GwendolynRaine -no, I do not seal my hair with anything, I just apply conditioner to my hair. I guess the conditioner is my moisturizer :) (please watch my wash n go routine for details).

  • Awww, you're really beautiful. And you're smile is adorable!

  • wow your hair is suppper cute!!! is that a wash n go?

  • one word...GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!

  • Girl your hair is beautiful! Good to see you back on youtube. Happy New Year!

  • love your hair its so beautiful :) xxx

  • Hi there! On the non-cowash days when you refresh your wng do you just thoroughly re-wet your hair, apply the conditioner and let it dry, or do you rinse out the conditioner currently on your hair and then apply more? Thanks!

  • @videowizard Hi! :) Yes, I just re wet my hair in the shower, apply more conditioner and let it air dry. Basically, I just apply more conditioner. The water re-activates the conditioner from the previous day, so I do not have to apply much conditioner. HTH!

  • i'm at lost for words. simply lovely.

I appreciate you breaking that down about the frizz and why moisture is essential. I'm noticing that my hair has less and less single strand knots and feels soft. Subbed.

  • This info was helpful. Your hair is beautiful. Keep it up, mine is waist length straightened. I'd love to be curly down to there, and moisture is the true way to go! Peace and Blessings!

  • Do you know of a good deep conditioner I get on the ground (mall, drugstore, sally's)???

  • Great job...informative...thanks!!!

  • How long did it take for your hair to start have more form and definition with the Curly Girl Method. I tried it for the first time and My hair still is very soft. I am sure it has to build up but I was just curious of how long it may take

  • So glad your back!

  • I'm so excited that you have returned!!!! Your hair is GORGEOUS!! Thank you for your videos and the inspiration you've been to me during my natural hair journey. Welcome back!

  • OMG! You are the only other natural I have heard say that the KCCC makes your hair look like a jericurl... It is a good product, but it definitely made my hair look like a jericurl. Your hair is gorgeous!!!

  • what did you do to your hair prior to this video? it looks really cute.

  • where can i find products without cones or sulfates?? or just all natural ingredients in shampoos and conditioners??

  • your hair is beautiful from the big chop to now, thanks for sharing. i am also natural almost two years now.

  • Colorado natural meet up pls pls lol

  • Is that your natural curls? If not how did you get them to curl like that?

  • I absolutely love all of your videos and have been watching them since u did ur BC. I tried this method but when my hair began to dry, it left like flaky residue in my hair. So everytime I would touch or play in my hair, I could see the residue falling as if it were dandruff or something. And I don't have dandruff so I knew it was the conditioner. Could it possibly be the type of conditioner I used? I really like this method but I need to figure out the residue issue. Do u have any suggestions?

  • Exactly what devacurl products do you use? Do you co wash or leave devacurl conditioner in hair or both? :) I need details! Lol Love hair!

  • HELLO IT IS SO GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK ON HERE. I ALSO LIVE IN COLORADO TOO. IN COLORADO SPRINGS, IF YOU ARE CLOSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU.

anyway ive been watching your old videos and your hair has come along beautifully..its looks great

  • absolutely gorgeous. did you do something to make it get ringlets? some pple twist it to get the ringlets eventhough they have hair just like yours. thanks!

  • Hey MC,U said u wash ur hair on Mom,Tue,Wed do u use any other moisturizer in between days?

  • @sunsilks -no ma'am! :) (it is mon, wed, fri) ;)

  • THANK YOU! We naturals really get way too caught up in what someone else is using on their hair when we are all completely different! Your hair looks AMAZING and healthy and I appreciate you doing this video to show our natural beauties just how truly naturally beautiful we are! :~)

  • welcome back ur hair is beautiful

  • i LOVE your hair.

i need moister in my hair.

my hair is frizzy. i live in hawaii & it is SO hard to find products for my hair...

my hair is damaged & breaking & I dont know anyone who knows how to deal with "my kind of hair" ugh. its so irritating. i've been here for the past 18 years & natural for the past 3. (my mom permed my hair at 2 years old)

  • You have beautiful hair! Great video!

  • Your hair is looking fabulous girl. FABulous.

  • Your hair is gorgeous! Thanks for the video. Question-you say that you do wash-n-go's Mon, Wed and Fri with a deep cond on Thurs nite, but you are not clear what happens on the other days (Tue, Sat and Sun).

  • you're hair is so gorgeous and we actuallyhave the same hair goals bra strap/arm pit length hair Im going on 2yrs natural jan 2012..... thank you for the info, stay blessed

  • ok your video was so informative for me, I do lack moisture alot. I really do need to find a good conditioner for my hair to help me with this problem I am currently using shea moisture organic hibiscus/coconut products and I like them but i think its making my hair lack the moisture that it really needs so after this video Im going to go the store and buy some new stuff. Thank you so much b/c i did not know you needed to build up moisture for your hair. plaese keep these videos coming.

  • OMG! your hair is beautiful!! I'm currently transitioning and am contemplating the big chop. I've been transitioning for the past 13 months now.

  • Your hair is GORGEOUS!!! Sooo glad that you are back!!! When you use the Heaven in Hair are you using it alone or along with the DevaCurl condish?

  • Beautiful hair !!

  • Welcome back Jess of course. I missed you. GOSH! Your hair is beautiful.

  • I'm so glad you're stressing the point of moisturized hair and how you have to build up the moisture level in your hair. Although a little bit of frizz for most is going to be natural, having moisturized hair decreases the frizz factor dramatically...I know from experience. Focusing on moisture instead of say, curl definition, will lead to overall healthier hair and improved texture (not saying moisture will make hair curlier but I does make hair look better b/c its healthier).

  • @prettyparticular -agreed! Thank you!

  • @prettyparticular How do i build up the moisture? What are some products do you recommend?

  • @lovemehatemeno To keep my hair moisturized, I made conditioner my best friend. lol

Initially I deep conditioned my hair twice a week, now I only do it once. Anytime I wet my hair I use a rinse out conditioner then once I'm out I apply a leave in. My fav conditioners are Garnier Pure and Clean, Tressemme Naturals, Curl Junkie Argan and Olive Oil, Curl Junkie Smoothing Lotion, and Oyin Honey Hemp.

  • Hey Jess, so glad you back girl!!!

  • Your hair is beautiful! I looked at your old video and you have some Awesome hair growth and retention. I hope one day I find a method that helps my hair and is consistent.

  • i love your hair i am in my 2nd big chop and my hair only grows 2 -3 inches past my shoulders then stops....and my shrinkage is horrible!

  • Thank you so much Mahoganycurls for coming back. You were one of the reasons I went natural. :) You hair is still gorgeous. I am inspired to do my wash and go's again. :)

  • What books would u suggest reading if you want to go the CG method... nothing else I have tried is working so I was going to try this for 6 mos or so to see if I notice a change in moisture retention.... glad you are back and hope all is well :-)

  • Your hair is gorgeous!!!

  • GORGEOUSSSSSS! YOU BETTA WERK! Besides DevaCurl No Poo, what other DevaCurl products do you use?

  • @akamizzT -tresemme naturals, Aubrey organics honey suckle rose conditioner...thank you!

  • yay your back!

  • I would love for you to do a rollerset tutorial with your long hair!

  • I'm soooo going to try a WNG with my fave condition Aussie Moist.

  • OMG, I have hair envy!!!! Your hair is GORGEOUS!!! And I love that you can get that look with just conditioner, I absolutely HATE gel.

  • Your hair is so gorgeous!

  • My son is 5 and he has lost 2 teeth and 1 more is loose. One is growing back and is the size of the two that fell out..I too was did not know they came out this early and I was not prepared..

  • Okay, your hair is the prettiest I have seen....

  • OMG, I'm so glad that you're back! Your hair is gorgeous as always! You are one of the people that inspired me to do my big chop. I've been natural for almost 2 years. I do have one question. You mentioned that you have single strand knots. How do you deal with them?

  • Welcome back. Missed your videos. Thank you for sharing!!!
