Another great song they used to use for great improv "out of nowhere" moments was No Quarter on the 77 tour. Check out ANY of those versions - your ass will be kicked!
That was their forte, making music out of nowhere that would be contain coolest riff... never to be heard again. I don't know of another band that was capable of this kind of impromptu moments of genus.
this is an interesting audience recording since there's such little crowd noise, and it not quite so lively as many audience recordings. i wonder how the person recorded it? i love this boot!!!
on second thought, is this a soundboard? the recording i have is definitely audience, and i just went back and listened to it again, it it sounds way different than this. crowd noise throughout, very live and lots of echos. this sounds a lot like a sbd. i didn't know there were soundboards of this show?
yeah, i didn't know there was one. well, i guess I can't know everything! it definitely allowed me to hear some things i hadn't heard before, but i still like the sound of aud recordings better. makes you feel like you're there.
