  • One of the most underrated bands ever. AMAZING BAND! Years before there time!

  • Just bought Gun-Shy. I can't believe how much better the live version is. Thank you hairydot61. No producer could capture the energy of SBM in the studio.

  • If Bill has a musical connection, it is not art-rock or anything y'all think it is. It;s Dexter Romweber. Kinda pathetic nobody got that from the get-go,

  • Ah man, this was a Whistle Test I didn't record onto video and have been wanting this ever since. Best live band ever!

  • LOVE THIS BAND..ONE OF MY FAVOURITES.

  • way cool

  • ...That is pure visceral bliss...the tightest and most muscular rhythm section you are going to here anywhere....I remember being blown away by this performance back in the day, and the SBM have not only stood the test of time, but they transcend it. The way the band burst into 'Good And Gone' is just phenomenal.....I cannot stop returning to this clip....Thanx for posting.

  • I am a rather smug, proud owner of the early 80's ep with a studio version of Tracking The Dog, perfect. Wait a minute, my X-rays have just come through...

CD recently released of BBC sessions.

  • Sheer power!

    SBM is a killer band!

  • Used to see Motor Boys Motor at the Hope & Anchor - excellent.

  • Damn I like this version of "Lets Go Down To The Woods" better the the studio version on Gunshy.

I haven't seen or heard these guys in 20 years. I didn't realize Bill was a finger picker. Man he kinda beefed up between 84 and 86 too.

  • Good & Gone is still one of my favourite LP's, it still sounds great!
