Acceleration: GT3 RS > R8

that R8 is all over the place lol maybe with racing tires and less weight and more downforce it would be a good match...the R8 V10 would be nice to see here...but I think it would be almost the same results only difference in long straight line...in corners only few very track day oriented cars could match the Gt3RS

not surprising at all, the R8 4.2 costs 20k less than the GT3 RS and is much more of a luxury car than a hardcore racing machine. i'd be curious to see the GT3 RS against the R8 V10, that'd probably a better match-up imo.

Hmmm... I think there's no league with that porsche, i mean audi's are fast specially the r8, but its just that porsche when it came first time on the market they were meant to be for circuit tracks, and they still are they just modify it to make it road version. Id still say the r8 is a very sexy car.

It is easy to tell that the porsche could put distance between the audi and the porsche when determined to do so, the driver of the audi was more aggressive than the porsche driver, you could tell by the amount of drifting the audi was doing, which you really can't do in a real race in a track, your tires would not last. With a equally aggressive driver the porsche would totally rape the audi, no offense to audi's here, it is just a different caliber of automobile!

A different TYPE of automobile;  if Audi were to replace the back window with glass, rip out all the Nav, stereo and nonesense electronics and install a rollcage in the R8 (like porsche did with the GT3 RS), I'm sure these cars would be neck and neck

the actual fact is that the R8 is better on the track and the porsche is better at a straight. They tested it on top gear.

well im not sure about rs but some gt3 porsche was tested against the audi. You can see it in top gear if you dont beliebe me :). and if talking about beauty, the audi is much more beautiful than the porsche :)

a minor difference of 30 seconds on the nordschleife. the rs owns the v8 r8 anyday.

The difference is more in the fact that the Porsche driver is a British Touring Car Championship driver and the Audi's wheel man is a CAR magazine editor.
