    :-)

  • 0:56 SCARED ME SO MUCH

  • @catwarriorsrock

I agree!! This movie is completely inappropriate for children.

  • OMG JUST HAD A HEART ATTACK LOL!!

  • Listening to this album in the dark ,alone probably isn't the best thing...

but I'm doing it any way. xD

  • I'm glad I read the comment before hand, but I still wasn't able to reach volume control before :56

  • It's in the middle of the night, no one is awake or in the room and I have my headphones on and I'm listening to this song enjoying the soft music then it hits 0:56 and I get scared and jump and want to scream and possible hind under my blankets... But I'm all good now.

    I still love this song!

  • I still remember going "this is just like a horror movie....somethings gunna...SHIT"

  • ☻________________________☻

  • this movie creeped me out...

  • HEART ATTACK !!! HEART ATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTACK!!!

  • I was thinking how sweet and quiet this song was, the tinkling tunes and all....

Then suddenly SCREEEECHH!!! at 0:56. Oh gosh, I had my speakers tuned to the lowest and I STILL jumped......

  • H☻w did that N☻T scare me?! I get scared easily!!

  • Is miss spink and forceble gay? or kust sisters? =?

  • How to enjoy this song without injuring yourself by falling out of your chair:

Listen to it until it gets up to 0:50

Tense & be prepared for a jumpy loud noise.

Too scared? When it gets up to 0:54, skip to 0:58

  • i litterly jumped and sais SHIT!

  • This is easily one of the most scariest parts in the movie, I jumped when Coraline tried to take the Ghost Eye from those...creatures, and they grabbed her hand >.>'

  • 0:56 i was so frightened xD

  • 0:56 GIVE IT BACK PLEASE GIVE IT BACK LET GO *Coraline flashes her flashlight at the dog bats and they take them down* scariest part of the movie

  • Warning: Don't drink soda while watching this. My screen is covered by Pepsi and spittle.

  • HAHAHA! 0:56

  • Okay. that's it! I'm not ever going to set foot inside an abandoned theater again. D:

  • FFF-- every time this song comes up on the soundtrack, I jump. Granted, I no longer shriek like a 5-year-old and fall off my chair, but it still gives me goosebumps >3>;

  • Stop Thief Give it back Give it back Give it back! Stop thief Stop! 0:57 startled me. And is this the haunting version of Spink and Forcible's song?

  • dude!!! I love coraline i watch it about everyday, ive seen it about 20 times in 2 weeks!!! and im a kid. a 11 year old kid!

  • 0.56 :D :D :D

  • Is it weird I hear a stock RPG battle music?

  • My favourite villain out of the whole film.

    They look so tasty!

  • THIEF! GIVE IT BACK! STOP! STOP! THEIF! GIVE IT BACK!

  • this scene is the one that freaks me out the most O_o

  • 0:57 OMG! I jump from my chair when i hear it!

  • @FateOblivion It scared me too, but i have to admit; getting scared is fun.

  • @ShinkuSuiseiseki Yeah!!! xDD

  • Creepiest song on the sountrack o.o

  • i remember when i watched this with my to friends and when the part where they go give it back when she tried to get the pearl from the theater my friend Isaac jumped it was hilarious!

  • *Coraline find giant taffy with taffy Spink and Forcible in it*

*Coraline opens hands to get the ghost eye out*

    (00:56) *hands grab Coraline*

That's what happens if anyone is wondering XD although I would think everyone that watched this has already seen the movie :P

  • This part made me jump!

  • (Coraline looks around the corner and a light randomly blinks on, revealing the taffy creature. She goes up to it and opens it up, showing the hands. She then opens a hand when they grabs Coraline's arms.)

☻Spink and Forcible: LEAVE! LEAVE!! GIVE IT BACK! THIEF!!

(Coraline shines the flashlight at the vampire dogbats, and then throws it at them. She manages to grab the ghost eye.)

Ghost girl: Hurry, miss! Her web is unwinding!

  • book*

  • mr.B in the boof is the creepiest, no contest on it but in the movie i think forcible and spink are equal

  • The theatre part always reminded me of Silent Hill for some reason...maybe because of the whole "finding a flashlight in a dark, abandoned area" thing.

  • You know, the whole movie reminded me of Silent Hill. SH2 in particular....maybe because there wasn't an annoying cult running around......

And it reminded me of Twilight Princess.

I loved that 'button moon' though, it should have been featured much more.

  • @kdreamland I'm just wondering, why Twilight Princess? Was it the part where the world peeled away and they went all squarish like Twilit Hyrule?

  • @ShadyNightCrow OMG you saw that too? It's like when Midna warps you right? Everything goes all squarish and dark and looks like particles? I thought I was the only that noticed the!

  • @Yabanko No, I noticed it too :D It made me happy. I'm a huge fan XD

  • I like it when the other Miss Spink and Miss Forcible say "Leave! Leave! Give it back! Give it back!"

That part scared the crap outta me! XD

  • Other Spink and Other Forcible were the creepiest of all three challenges

  • @babeecznik I personally thoug Mr B was the creepiest... But he was my favorite! ^_^

  • Actually it's "Thief! Thief! Give it back!"

  • love it <3

  • It IS a childrens movie.. thought I love movies for children <3

It is such and INCREDIBLE awesome animation, done so incredible good! I don't understand why this movie didn't become more popular.. Also, the story is genial. It is not creepy that makes me gross, caus I like creepy things.. this movie is a dream <3 lovely dream.. and one of the most awesome movies ever!

  • holy fuck :56 scared the shit outta me i had my volume up and everything! so much better than a screamer haha

  • lol me too!

  • Yeah, that made me jump too.

  • @12677789 o no i have my volume very up ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @12677789 i hate screamers so much one minute it is peaceful then the next WHAM! something pops out of nowhere. you scream and all the people do is laugh at your reaction LAUGH! its very cruel. e_0

  • @12677789 it scared me to!!!!!! though i have seen this movie so may times that i kind of knew something like that was going to happen

  • @12677789 Even tho I knew it, I was scared!

  • I'm 14 but I love Coraline and all the soundtracks are so damn good.

My friends think it's boring and creepy.

Do they know how hard to make this movie, idk what to say.......some people just got no imagination......*sight*

  • OMG!! Im 14 too and my friends think that im weird and babyish for loving this movie.I guess they don't knw what an "awesome "movie really means...

  • hey, youre 14 but Im 17!

  • Most people in general don't think of the crew and what it took to make a movie like this. I'm sure they love this film more then anyone else.

  • ((☻_☻))

  • this movie rocks and I love it!

But when I brought the DVD for my class reunion, guess what?

They get easilly bored by the opening and then change the movie to Friday 13!!

WHY DO PEOPLE THINK THIS IS A CHILDREN MOVIE???D:(

  • Maybe it's because of the child-like music and dolls...

or it can be a name...

I'm not sure...I read the book and it's DEFINITELY not for those who are attending elementary school.

  • Actually, yes it is. They're the intended audience. That's not to say it's not scary, of course. xD

I first read it when I was in third grade. Sure, it freaked the snot out of me, but that's probably the intention. Gaiman's a talented writer and a twisted man. : )

  • Yes...yes, he is. Just like Tim Burton, except, he's quirky.

  • THIEF

    GIVE IT BACK

    THIEF

    THIEF

    THIEF

    THIEF

when i heard her singing my skin crawled

  • O_o

    CREEPY

I HEARD MRS SPINK'S FAINT SINGING, AND THEN I GOT SCARED!!! THIEF!!! GIVE IT BACK!!!

  • I've read your comments AND know the movie and still jumped :D

  • this part is scared! i close my eyes!! and jumped!! but then i laugh!! jaja

  • The soundtrack to this movie is so lovely. <3

  • this part freeked me out but when i just listen to the soundtrack its self i think of an

    other wybie taffimonster O_o

    i have wierd idea's

  • ummm... this song is SCARY!!

  • i tuned my volume SO HIGH to hear mrs.spink.and then at 0:57 i JUMPED SO HIGH and turned the volume off.i was so scared.......

  • so i read your comment so I did the same and I fell out of my chair, ahah

  • aw yeah! even after all these warningsI yelled! And my mum poked her head round the door and s'like:

    "What??"

and I'm like "nothing, nothing" XD

  • 0:57 made me jump! XD

  • Even after this warning, I jumped a bit xDDD

  • You warned me, but I still jumped!

  • omg i love this song

  • GAW!

This movie seemed appealing to 5 year olds but then..

    oh gawd X3

    thats why I loved it!

  • Appealing to 5 yr olds? O-o

Is that what people think of aniamted movies now-a-days? Does NO ONE see the artist's passion while creating them? They are beautiful works of art, and they are NOT made to appeal to a certain age group.

I hate it when people assume things are only for kids, and if you like it and you're not a kid, you either have no life, or you're immature. People have a right to like what they want. No one is ever immature for liking what they want as long as it's not harmful.

  • I share the same passion for these types of movies my friend. Beautifully put!

  • Here's a prime example of Producers and Directors making a movie from an upbeat adult film, THAT IS A CARTOON!, into a ridiculous child film. The Road to El Dorado. That film, originally, was supposed to be an adult film,

Miguel and Tulio were meant to have a much more intimate relationship, Chel, even though she is already intimidating, was meant to be MUCH more skimpier, etc. I would have loved to have seen the original, BUT, people seem to think animation is only meant for kids.

  • yeah, and I don't even think children enjoy this movie as much as older ppl do, so wtf?

I guess I'll just have to read the book

  • oh no no no! D:

I can completely see the mental devotion and display the motion picture had to produce. It was my favorite movie. I thought its creativity and construction added more to the effect and impact. I was only stating that even at a certain age group, the movie had certain elements that seemed more ironic. I didn't mean to be thoughtless or careless to what I stated. D: Coraline was a wonder masterpiece!

  • @catwarriorsrock amen, my friend, amen

  • @catwarriorsrock you have definatly made my day :')

  • @catwarriorsrock I know. There are so many sucky movies that my parents will always choose over quality animated movies. Of course, they grew up in the days where "animation" meant one cartoon animal chasing another cartoon animal for half an hour. The era that I grew up in was the era of Coraline and Avatar the Last Airbender (not the movie, for god's sake) and Pixar- a company whose very existance stands as proof that "cartoons" can make old people cry, too. This movie was simply amazing.

  • @catwarriorsrock Um, I agree. Especially as this movie f***ing scared me and I'm 17. "Appealing to five-year-olds"- eheheh, nice to know those five-year-olds are braver than me!

This is supposedly a "kids movie" however- it was even reviewed on the Family Chanel. I watched it last night and the incredible undertone of "creepy" was very unsettling. I loved it, yes, but daaamn! I jumped. A lot. xD

  • @catwarriorsrock I agree. When I hear the words "animation is for kids" uttered, I say three words: watch "Elfen Lied". Show THAT to your five year old and let's see how they respond as there is animated psychic bisection at the invisible hands of a naked woman, right from the word go. It makes Coraline seem like My Little Pony (Friendship is Magic; appended as to not belittle the awesomeness of Coraline).

  • @catwarriorsrock Appealing to five year olds? FIVE YEAR OLDS??!!?? uh, I'm sorry, no! the only reason this isn't R or pg-13 is because

    1. it's claymation

    2. they took out the really freaky parts of the book, like when the Other Mother admits to killing her own mother.

there were so many freaked out children when I saw this movie, it's not funny. there are adult themes in Coraline, book and movie alike. just because it's animation doesn't mean it's child-friendly.

  • @goodtoby07

....Er.... If you noticed, I was against saying this movie was for five year olds... I loved this movie, and I know animation is a beautiful, amazing method of film-making... Animation says nothing about who the movie is for, and even child-friendly animated movies aren't immature and exclusive to one audience. And I DEFINITELY know Coraline isn't even really child-friendly.

  • @catwarriorsrock oh, sorry, I didn't realize I was commenting to /you/ sometimes I click the top comments instead of comment box...I'm just shocked that anyone says this is a simple kid's film. I'm on your side ^^"

  • @goodtoby07

  • @catwarriorsrock

I very much so agree! This movie isn't suitable for all children anyway. It gave my baby sister nightmares for days! This is kind of a scary movie for kids. It's a little gothic, and ominus.

  • I love the Scootie Bats!! And the theme is like an opera ending!

  • I was (in a scared way) impressed by how they made Other Spink and Forcible a taffy monster.

  • OMG the taffy monster gave me a really messed up dream O.o For some reason i tried to take something from them then they started calling me a douchebag! wtf? lolz

  • xD I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh, but I can almost hear them screaming,"DOUUUUUUUUCHEBAG, DOOOOUCHBAAAAAG..."

  • thats fine i laughed so much about it after ^_^ LOL DOOOOOCHEBAAAAG! HAHAHA

  • This is my fav movie!

  • heheh..I was listening to this on my ipod at lunch at school and I jumped about 5meters at 0:57 and all my friends were staring at me like I was on crack...

This scene in the book is scarier for me though

  • this part is exactly lk the book

  • ahhhhh so creeeeeeepy!

    i LOVE it! :D

  • This part in the film sent my heart blaring, it scared me!

That Taffy monster gave me nightmares for 3 days xD

  • This sounds erie and unsettling.

What doesn't help is at 0:57

    "THEIF!"

    "GIVE IT BACK"

  • SPOILER (kind of)

*shivers* I read this scene in the book before I saw the movie and spazzed out! The way they did this in the movie was pretty good. I always jump when Other Spink and Forcible jump out "THIEF!!!!" Creepy mutant pink and blue freak!

  • They were made of taffy, parody of how the real Spink and Forcible had taffy at thier home.

  • is it tasty?

  • Depends...

The one the real Miss S+F made is supposed to be so old and sticky, it sticks to the cieling and you have to spear it with knitting needles to break through it.

The one other Miss S+F are made of, I'm not quite sure, but thier 'monsterous' attitude doesn't advertise the taste well.

  • What part of the movie is this from? I've seen it, and I don't remember hearing this song...even though I jumped at 0:57.

  • This was the second time she went to miss spink and forcibles theater in the other mother's world.

And you had good reason to jump at 0:57.

  • The faint singing in the beginning is so creepy to me as she enters the dark theater!! XD

  • it's like when you are on a carnival that just broke and sped up really fast

  • AUGH! I JUMPED!!! D:

  • I don't think I want to eat hundred-year old taffy. Ever.

  • woa...0.0 just...woa 0.o
