@matchacaramely This presentation just for promote our city for the foreigners who don't know our country and was released about 10 years ago in Thai airways and some international committee.
Hong kong and Thailand was very difference just Bangkok we have area more than whole country of Hong kong and we have a zone of historical, shopping avenue, economic, downtown etc. to make our town to be characteristics from the other Asian country.

@dexz17 ah ... but in the film "Crazy little thing called love" was filmed in Petchaburi and some scene in Ratchaburi not any scene in the movie at BKK sorry.
But Petchaburi and Ratchaburi also very nice, you must trip in the "Death railway" and a very nice scene in the film is in Kang Kra Jarn's dam in Petchaburi.

@dexz17 BKK is Bangkok, and "the death railway" is a railway in WWII that the Japanese's army was built for supply From Petchaburi and Ratchaburi into Mandalay (Myanmar) for invasion into Kunming (China)
depending on a jungle, mount, and a weather that's make American and allied POW and also a lot of Asian labor (include Thais) in a pestilence crisis and many people died while built this railway.
(just the allied POW more than 61,700 was dead but Asian labor wasn't recorded)

"crazy little thing called love : the missing years"
but this just still in plotting process only. lol
BTW they're already have a new film named "30 กำลังแจ๋ว" story of the film is about women in 30+ years old she looking for a boyfriends, that's very funny :)

I think Thai's TV series not like anyone, because our TV series always have the same of story line like this since before i born. (i'm 32 Y.O. and grown with this, so bored in these kind of story)
And the movies, i'm not so sure, but i think teenager's movies it's have standard story line about love, learning, family, friendship, touring trip, haunting etc. it's just about a director who can do the best :)

@dexz17 After all these time, now in present day, this railway is very beautiful and pure environment & natures, but the end of railway is in Thailand only not into Myanmar (just a tourism railway, not use for transport)

And BKK = Bangkok but not much of Thai movies filmed in BKK, we have just 2 of recent movies that filmed in BKK "Love of Siam" and "Bangkok traffic love story"
BTW if you love in Thai drama, i recommend you must watch "Love Julinsee" and "Suckseed" and horror movie of this year must watch "Ladda Land" is very scary and dramatic. :)

@BigN33dle im a pakistani . educated at that. to be honest, i saw a couple of pakistanis among thousands and thousands of other nationals during my recent visit to bangkok. It is safe city to visit but be careful if a stranger approaches you or asking for help. Avoid that person at all cost. You may never know what kind of person who is. No other nationals can ruin Thailand with a permission from Thais by themselves. People spew so much bullshit on youtube for nothing. Enjoy your stay
