The aggressive benchmarks will balloon existing energy costs and punish Americans for technology that is still in R&D or has not yet been invented.

I am against the cap and trade bill myself as people would find ways to go round it. They should not play the game of a carrot and stick. They should use legislation; That is how UAE is going about doing it, and it is sad that an Arab state funded with our dollars and brains and not us. Why? Because they are running out of oil and need to do something soon; while that urgency is not there for us.

Middle East is going down on oil production. Their oil would be out in a century. Brazil which has a huge % energy coming from green sources now has found a goldmine of oil away from their shores.
