Apparently it's become quite popular with Nato forces in Afghanistan, with a couple of countries taking interest. The TRF 1 155 mm (its little brother) can actually move and fire on it's carrier, although at very slow speeds.

@SirChubblesSteen This is an exercise. I guess they use some "fast gunpowders (I don't know how to translate "poudre vive" in English) to not wear out the barrel.

The Archer system from the Swedish / English guys seems to be more automatic.
But I'm not sure it already enters in service

It's got to be the... calmest Howitzer i've ever seen. When it fires a shot it's just so stable and pure.
I guess i just like regular stuff too much.

The more stable the gun, the more accurate the round and less adjustment for putting more rounds down range.
As much as Im "iffy" about the French, they did invent the modern land based arty system.

I know, and yeah it's better.
