After you drain the oil, you can jack up the car on one side and let it sit there a while. All the residual oil will run to the side and not out the hole. Much less hassel with the clean gasket surface.

I though you needed to use 2.6 quarts not 3 quarts of oil. Some I think recommend 2.5 quarts.
