  • on AIR COLLED VW'S ALWAYS USE SAE 30 OIL !!!!!!!!!

  • I was told by professional VW mechanics that 30SAE is the vest for air-cooled engines.

  • what type of oil does anyone recommend for warm climates, 10-30w?

  • After you drain the oil, you can jack up the car on one side and let it sit there a while. All the residual oil will run to the side and not out the hole. Much less hassel with the clean gasket surface.

  • Thanks dude .....they want 55 bucks at the shop for this you made it step step simple .......again big thanks

  • Great information.

  • Good afternoon, what is the brand of the Form Gasket that you mention and is there a oil filter?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Thanks for a very informative video

  • HAY GREAT VID WHAT IS THE NAME OF SOLVENT YOU USED ON THE GASKETS

  • I though you needed to use 2.6 quarts not 3 quarts of oil. Some I think recommend 2.5 quarts.

  • Nice and easy demo.... What adhesive solvent was that you were putting on the gaskets? Thanks AIRHEAD PARTS!!!

  • is good men now i can chage the oil for my vocho 1973 thank you good video.

  • great video! Now all I need is something to flip my car upside. :o) Seriously though this should help people who are new to VWs and changing the oil.

  • Awesome! This may seem simple to those who know what they're doing but for a first timer like me this video is great. You can see what parts to expect as well as what to do to minimise leakage. Thank you for posting!
