a couple weeks ago, i took a box of cloths, a sugar diabetes moniter/checker, and assorted things i had filled the box up with i didn't need or couldn't use to the flood victim drop off, i hope and prayed that it would be useful for some families that could really use the stuff.i bought the "sugar checker" at a yard sale real cheap a few yrs ago, never used it,don't have diabetes,so i seen it as a great opprotunity to give it 2 some1 who possible use it.
It is awesome isn't it..I've not only given stuff away to the Christian Benefit shop but three friends have received bags of stuff too..yes, I'm glad I'm decluttering!! Good job yourself..yahooooo
I am still in awe how much I can give away each and very month. Like where is it coming from? hmmmmmmmm..maybe yard sales, LOL...Of course that is NOT going to stop me from doing my yard sale hauls. I find too amazing deals, but an abundance of blessings to give to others...
I've been decluttering as well. I have so much stuff - I'm not a "neat hoarder". But, hoarding is keeping when others are in need - neat or messy. "Enough" is all we need - even for the future - it's good to put away food for the winter and money for college, etc, but it doesn't necessarily stop there, and that's "hoarding".
All I keep thinking is that I'm 'nipping' in the bud this hoarding NOW..It has definitely been an eye opener for me. I NEVER would have thought I had this problem, since my house doesn't 'look' like the typical hoarder. It would have ONLY been a matter of time I believe though...
