There is no doubt in my mind that he intentionally drove Paciorety's head in the turnbuckle so he has to be blamed for it.
Forget the lack of calls or suspension in the past but let's change this in the future. Can anyone give me one good reason why in the future, a hit from behind will deserve a 5-10 game suspen
The biggest difference between this hit and the hit by Chara is that Chara and Pacioretty were moving at top speeds and Doughty was pulling up after dumping in the puck. This could have been worse if this was between the benches and everyone was at "top" speed. Star Status has nothing to do here.

The only reason the police are getting involved with the Pacioretty incident is because the NHL didn't handle it at all, the fans wanted someone to deal with it and possibly give him a fine of some kind at the VERY least. Anywho, I hope Doughty isn't too injured and will get better quick! As for Umberger, I hope he gets what he deserves (a 2 game suspension?).

They most certainly are not.
