I see some folks complaining on the speed of the movements. I am just a begginer and as far as I know this is called Vinyasa or Flow yoga and this type of yoga is performed this way.
I've never done yoga before, and i though this video was helpful, not really relaxing, but a good work out for beginners. But im starting to think this isn't the best video after reading the comments. But im still going to do this lol.
I've done this before, the routine is called Salutation to the Dawn, though i see that some parts were modified and the poses weren't held for long and the pacing is quite fast. But i do remember that this exercise really did me good in terms of relaxation.
This is a great video, but I wouldn't recommend it for someone new to yoga. Some of the poses are very challenging for a person who has not tried them, especially someone who is overweight and out of shape and just beginning a practice. I'd recommend this as a guide for someone who has a little practice and is more familiar with the headstand, arch, etc.
I do think that the speaker has great pacing, and appreciate the reminders to breathe and to not take it too fast or strain too much.
Trying this video was somewhat defeating and frustrating. It goes so fast and doesn't focus on learning how to breath in yoga. Doesn't seem like it was really made for beginners. I don't know much about yoga besides a handful of classes. But, if I went to them and it was anything like this, I would never go back.
I have never done yoga before, but I am pretty active in sports. I found this pace fast, but encouraging and attainable. I treated it as more of a stretching session with breathing advice than a long yoga session. I like it, I'm doing it again later today too.
Is it really commonly done this fast or is it just for the video? I thought you had to hold the poses for a few seconds, this seems to go really fast.
Normally, a Yoga Class lasts 60-90 minutes. In Youtube I can post Videos which are 10 Minutes long only. Many enjoy the 10-minute-Yoga session anyhow - in little time you get a lot of benefit. But you are right: Normally you hold the postures longer.
Thanks! I actually found the video very useful. I just wasn't sure if I have to switch postures as quickly as the girl in the video when I'm actually doing this.
look the video looks good but how can u relax listenin to dat..inhaallee....exhallee far does my head in, i think i ll give it a go wit some otha music in the background...n jus remember to breath
Thank you!! I heard that 10 minutes of yoga a day is more beneficial than an hour once a week... I'm sure both are good, but it's good to know that if I'm having a busy day, I can just do 10 minutes and have it still be good for me.

@nthesunbythewater You can just memorize the poses & their order then hold it for 6 breaths or however long you want :]]
