@Dunkleosteus9 He had 5 albums out by this time..ones that still outsell the worthless shit they call music now..this man can fart more melodiously than 95% of the bands of the 2000's(Coldpaly aside)..he is the greatest balladeer that the world has ever seen..
@tyme4mike you are absolutely correct. Gord is god. A day does not go by since 1967 for me that I have not played at least one of his songs... His music defines me. He has long ago eclipsed them all for me. It is sad for so many that they know nothing of him, expecially here in the States. Thank you Gordon for bringing what you have brought to this world.
Ha !!! not really thats what they made short cuts through the school grounds for .That is until they found out where I lived and just parked in my back yard until I came home. That sorta ended it. Cheers!!

I meant his best songs were from the 70s it seems. That's all I know.

@Dunkleosteus9 He'd written a lot of songs that got covered by other singers.

What songs had he written by 1969, not his greatest hits. So why was he famous?

@nylawyer55 I couldn't have voiced my love and respect better! And, yes, it's sad generation nowadays that doesn't know and love his music.

is this live or is he lip synching? sounds just like the album
curb9999 2 years ago
recorded live on the Johnny Cash show.
His vocals and 12 string are picked up in on
a shot gun mic which is out of the picture.
I can understand why you thought it was
lip synced though...No one is supposed to
sound that good live!.

Outstanding early Lightfoot. And to have the duet with Johnny Cash -- on Cash's show -- is a treat and a half. A historic post.
