It's almost like they wrote this song knowing it was all going to end for them soon. A very sad, reflective piece, filled with longing for the past-their days of youth and glory, now faded. Bauhaus will always be missed.
Pete, i was born in 89 so was not aware of this when it was released. But your music has changed my life for the better even so many years after you wrote it.
This song was originally on their 3rd studio album, _The Sky's Gone Out_, which was first released in Oct. 1982. The band MGMT recently covered it as well, with a cool animated video (which is also on YouTube).
@aidendouglass This is from 1998 which was the year of their first reunion tour. I saw them when they came through Chicago on this tour, and it was incredible. This is from a DVD called Gotham, which was filmed in New York. The Chicago show I saw was better, but the DVD is close enough. I saw them twice again in the mid `00s and they were good, but not as good as in `98.
@BadComrade I saw them in "98 in Toronto and your right, it was incredible. I first experienced Bauhaus in '83 when I was 13. 15 years was a long wait, but it was so worth it.
