Is dash worth maxing? Because, it seems to get canceled easily and oh yeah, is it true that you either max flamethrower or that ice attack?

yeah, even though dash gets canceled easily it's worth maxing. it's really helpful when you need to get away from mobs or travel. as for flamethrower & ice splitter, yeah most people either max one or the other or take a few points off of gaviota to max both. I'd recommend leaving flamethrower at 11 and maxing ice splitter though.

nop. I thought it as well, but invis is soooo much slower. you can do 2 double shots by the time you can do 1 invis. So in the end double shot wins in 1v1 in 3v1 or 2v1 invis shot might be better especially if you can knock the back.

love the pig, it's easy to backstep shot off of the pig and continue moving faster than you would have with dash. it's also really helpful for when I'm feeling too lazy to use backstep shot to get around.. :B

Does the level of Backstep Shot have anything to do on how far you'll move each time it's used?

I've seen that every level it goes up, the range of the actual attack raises, but is that it, or is it like Flash Jump, the higher it is the farther you'll go.

it's a combo move in mu lung party quest. you press ctrl + alt + one of the directional arrows and you will do a special skill. one of them is the bamboo attack that does I think 1/3 of the monster's total HP. another makes you invincible for either 1 minute or 30 seconds. the last one doubles your attack for a short period of time.

Are gunslingers expensive to play or are they self-sustaining (i.e. earning enough money to support themselves?)

they make enough to support themselves trainingwise, but if you want to improve your character, the mesos you earn that way aren't going to go very far. you'll be able to afford potions with just training money, but that's all.

yeah, we get 22-26 HP per level while bowmen and thieves get 20-24 HP per level. it seems low but it really adds up. I also think we get more HP upon the job advance, but I don't know for certain.

bullets are regular monster drops. no gun powder is involved, lol. they're usually pretty cheap, the most expensive one being the level 90 bullets for 3m each.

You've played an assassin/hermit before, so how do gunslingers/valkyries match up? Which one do you enjoy playing more? Which of them does more damage? Anything you can tell us about the learning curve of gunslingers?

gunslingers do terrible damage, but they're very fast! valkyries, on the other hand, do amazing damage.. and they're still fast, too. I wasn't all that well equipped on gMS when I last checked my NL, but at 123 it kills newties in 5 hits. my valkyrie kills them in 6 hits at level 101. that's saying something, lol. and to be honest, I have a LOT more fun on my valkyrie than I did on my NL.. but I miss FJ!! backstep just doesn't compare, haha. not sure what you mean by learning curve, though..

oh I see. well.. it's a totally different playing style than anything I've tried before, and the new skills were definitely difficult to get accustomed to. it's not that it's particularly hard to play, but it does take a good bit of getting used to, simply because it's a new class.
