I found something cool to do with the electricity.

rather than using just one color in the color overlay effect, do a gradient overlay. it looks less like electricity but still a cool effect.

anyother cool way to change the color is to make a new layer just above the eletricity then color over that layer with said color and set the blending mode to color. it colors the edges and looks really cool.
