@TheSeffects Hi Sean, This cam is 1st Generation ... Ther is a 2nd Gen. with better specs...Overall, i have loved the lo-light and robustness of the Flip cameras... They were taken-over by CISCO who recently announced dis-continuing support for the Flip... but, i expect some-other manufacturer will fill this gap...
Prices may temporaily drop because of this... but, Hey this is a good HD Camera....Grab, one while you can :)
Yes, i was gob-smacked !! on the HD quality that was output from this little pocket sized HD cam... Comparable to my expensive Canon and Panasonic HD cams :)...Cheers, and take care friend,
Am, impressed by the build quality and ease of use to direct upload .mp4 files to Youtube...Un-like other cams that require some file conversion to get best results on uploading to YT...Overall, ..this cam gives good pin-sharp focus to long shots and poorer focus to close-up,,,( ie. 1-2.5 metres... see RH of tree at 1:00 )...but, this is typical of the small handheld pocketsize HD cams...This cam is liteweight small/thin with touch controls and the smallest LCD..
I agree, . This is the 5th HD cam iv`e tested..The 1st was back in Sept07 at Myles ( Blade376 ) YTube gathering re: Aiptek HDDV... had to downgrade quality and aspect ratio from WScrn to upload to YT... 2nd cam was the Sanyo Xacti which developed a fault and overall HD quality was dis-appointing...3rd is my Canon HV20 which i use mostly ... and recently, i`ve tried the new Toshiba S10 which had similar poor focus as this Flip at normal/usual focal distances( 1~2 m ) Hence the long shot here.
cant wait, I just ordered 1!

I'de say your other camera may get a slightly better picture, but it's certainly impressive for the cost/size of it :D
