  • My high school does the acting and singing better.......

  • @IreneWY U Mad Bro?

  • @MasterAnemos

how nice to see that freedom of speech is respected on youtube.

  • He's amazing, although I sense some strain in his voice at some points.

  • wow I am in love with his voice

  • can you do this with saillor moon

  • None of you could sing OR act this well so shut up

  • why do all of the belles soud the same? and all of the beasts vary in awesomeness?

  • Comment removed

  • This is by far my most favorite introduction to the song with the interaction between the Beast and Belle. I also loved the set, and the lighting. I know that some people are being fussy about the acting that the Beast does during the song, but I found that I actually really liked it. I can see how it would be really hard to see how far to take the acting, especially in that costume, but I thought it was very well done.

  • the people who are complaining about blocking or acting need to lay off. You don't think about the fact that it isn't the actor who arranges this, it's the director. The actor takes what the director says and tries to put what he thinks it should be into it, but bottom line is that it's the directors vision.

  • i wish that they had put it in the movie

  • Great feeling and vocals :) 5/5

  • The picture at 3:22 kinda looks like Wierd Al. Btw Great performance

  • Why is he acting out every single thing he sings? And he's singing it to the audience which is a big mistake cause it should be like him realizing what he did, not explaining it to the audience... It sucks...

  • @SjoerdSchokker I totally agree. This guy is terrible.

  • @kdawggization this guy sucks so bad

  • @SjoerdSchokker i have a feeling you don't act. He's looking @ the audience because he's supposed to look @ the audience. I've been acting for 8 years and every director you will ever have no matter what says "look at the audience" or "never turn your back from the audience". so clearly you shoudn't comment about acting unless you have a slight bit of backround knowledge in the subject.

  • @broadwaynerd99 My theatre director throws pens at our heads if we turn our backs to the audience, even during a rehearsal..

  • This is the best I've seen in a long time!! Please tell me there's more!!! :D

  • she really sounds like belle that is amazing...

  • The acting was amazing! :)

  • is this professional?

  • you did a good job! :D and have a very nice voice

please have a very nice day

  • this was a good performance i enjoyed it i playes the beast in my school play as well ill post the video when i get it you did a great job

  • @gordonjt79 well i thought you were smashing! singing wasnt amazing but i really enjoyed it none the less, acting was superb!

  • Is this show somewhere available for downloading or has it someone for trade? I wouldn´t ask for this but it´s really really good and I´d love to watch it whole!

  • the acting and blocking at the beginning was REALLY good. nice voice :)

  • This is significantly better acting than the other version I watched before, but...holy shnikies... does anyone else find it rather cheesy over-all?

  • This is an excellent portrayal and a great model for theater students.

  • a bit camp for a beast but not bad vocal bit dodgy in places "hints at kindness", "who" "seen" "been" "onwards" scooping the notes in a few places really nice tone though, good "me" at the end its a very hard vowel to do on the F

  • A classical Baritone is from F to F... so this song could be a little hard at the end. But Baritone is also used as a term for Tenors who can't hit the high C..

  • @TLKthing3 No that's a bass. Baritone is more G to G. Think Rigoletto, Almaviva, Valentin etc

  • wow that was so amazing!! I love this song!!

  • I love this song.

  • wow good job! love this song!

  • he is a eunuch

  • Very good!! :D

    You are a fantastic beast!

  • oh man great stuff. can i borrow some of that virbrato. i'll give it back once i'm finished playing the beast for my school production

  • What vibrato?

  • Damn damn damn damnnnn./... i love this stage!!!!!

  • why do u care

  • im a guy but i get all leads in a musical

  • im an alto and ican hit this

  • i saw this on broadway a few years ago and this was my favorite song! tears :D alan menken + tim rice=magical music!

  • This was good. Check out OCHS version. His beast voice is crazy!

  • I LOVE this song, and I've heard it so many times that I started singing a harmony with this version, and IT SOUNDS SO COOL! That doesn't mean I'm a good singer, though. I just mean that if there was some way that Belle could sing a harmony at some point... man, that would be sooooo cool!

  • actually they do sing this together in the finale, just dif words

  • Wow, that was beautiful!!!!

  • I love the musical, it helps focus on the relationship more between Belle and the Beast and how the Beast really isn't mean, he's a "tortued soul"

  • Amazing beast! Jumping off the stage at 0:05, very realistic! The emotion-wonderful-posotively the best beast that I've ever seen!!

    -CayleeJo

  • hey guys. it seems that experts are everywhere on youtube (or they like to act that way anyway). I'm also playing the role of the beast but i'm starting to stress because it requires a lot of shouting and which makes me lose my voice. and my singing isn't that great let alone with a sore throat. any help? and this beast is a great actor and singer

  • You are awsome !!!!!!!!! You are a really good actor.

  • amazing blocking - just like broadway!

  • that was great man! the singing was a bit flat some places but still great...how old were you? My church always does 1 musical a year and its a big production with high schoolers and we did Disney's Beauty and the Beast and I played the Beast also it was my 2 show but first lead so my acting is so so lol but i have a video of this song and the reprise if u wouldn't mind checking out just go to my channel and its not hard to find again great job. btw i am also a bass 2...

  • i personally thought you had an amazing voice! i'd love you to play the beast in our version!

  • i love the violas and instrumentals on this song

  • You presented this as a actor who sings, ie, you act better than you sing. Keep in mind, it's not a bad thing. This song just needs to have a very solid singer behind it. As a singer 1st and an actor 2nd myself, I hear a lot of details in your pitch that need to be addressed. Most of them can be fixed with three suggestions: 1: watch your vowel shapes. 2: don't belt; use your head and chest voice where appropriate (vowels will help this) & 3: Reduce your movement and breathe! Great job otherwise

  • It seems to me that you worked mostly on facial and vocal expressions. You portrayed in those two areas what the song says. And I think that's more important, yeah, all actors in musical theater should probably work on the different techniques on singing. But facial expressions during the song, and external expressions are important too. So, great job in portraying the words through your body and voice.

  • Na-na-na-na-na-na-na ninja beast, ninja beast.

  • the most amazing set i have ever seen for this show.

  • I agree--I am in the show now playing the role, and you have to be a very well-trained baritone to play the role.

  • This song brought me to tears every time i listened to you sing it. i miss every one in this cast!

  • I LOVE THE MAKEUP!

  • this person is wrong. true, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but you were superb.

  • Geeze gordon... This once again gave me chills!

  • Have to say, I'm a big fan of the show...and just got to see the fairwell performance on Broadway this past July. Loved Steve Blanchard, but honestly, this is my favorite portrayal of my favorite song.

Great feeling, great "beasting," great voice! (Seen my share of Beasts while working with Disney, and this is one of the best.)

  • Oh no, I thought your acting was first rate, just a little voice training, and you would be fierce compition at auditions.

  • great baritone voice gordon! your singing was good but u should put more feeling and looked more scarier... ur such a huggable beast! IMO

  • This is my favorite song in the entire show. lol I would stand backstage with our Gaston and listen to our Beast sing this EVERY NIGHT. lol Brought me to tears. Such a gorgeous song. I think the director made a mistake having you move around so much and giving you so much "choreography."

  • I love the way you move in your scenes! Very Beastly. This is the best acting job I have ever scene for the Beast. Great Job!!

  • do you have the fight/transformation scene??

I'd like to see your performance as a human... lol

    :D

  • Hey Gordon! This is cool!
