These are really only useful once you rockbox them, and some of them have fragile headphone ports, my first one had that problem, and lasted all of 2 months, my 2nd one has been going strong for over a year & 1/2, only had to use a can of air, to clean out under the keys, and inside the player. :-)
God I hated this player. It always froze. It froze when it was cold outside while I waited for the bus.. so in a way, it was literally FREEZING. It wouldn't work until it warmed up again. I then got a E260 from a friend. It's alright, but I have a Fuze on the way for Christmas. I'm uber psyched.
@hempfreak69 If you still have your C250, take a can of air, and clean the player inside, and out(all open ports, etc..), and then make sure to do update the firmware, and get a manual copy of that firmware, and then Rockbox the little sucker, and it's just pure awesome, only thing Is some file formats like .SID(C64/128 chiptunes) can freeze Rockbox cold. RockBox really is the way to go for most Sansa players ;-)
same thing happened to me, I wish I thought to take it apart, instead I just got a New one with better battery life, but when this one breaks I'll have to give that a try.
in fact I am going to try that with my old one if it works I guess I'll sell it to someone or keep it as a spare.
just a little tip, the earphone jack tends to wear out, to prevent this (in theory anyway) you should keep your earphones unplugged when the device is not in use.
i got that player as one of my first ones. When i bought that i was happy, but after couple days i was start be angry, 'cause this player start be something wrong with it. It didn't respond when i connected it to computer, so i couldn't put my music inside it. BIG -- (minus) for this player.
iunno what its called, i think just a sandisk digital audio player (with the blue led screen)
had it for liek 2 yrs or something, now the audio jack is playin up... before used to have no sound in one ear, and id have to put the headphone plug liek halfway in
may not be better than a sansa e280 but it is better than an ipod....it is better than an ipod touch....mac does donkey dick....///GO SANDISK !!!!!!!!
I say dont buy this mp3 player. The screen is poor quality and sound isn't all to great. I had mine for 8 months and the audio jack started to have problems and the music became static. Buy the E260 a much better quality mp3 player.
i found a fix for the audio jack (mines a c240, but its worth a try). apply slight pressure toward the left on the headphones (player facing up, that or replace the jack with an older one, or get surgical on it
I dunno about the C250, my my E250 KICKS BUTT! I love it! Sandisk kicked Apple's *** when they did the Sansa's. Can't wait for their answer to the Iphone!
sorry you can delete the songs from the player?

Yes you can record your voice and radio. On the voice recorder it says max 2:00:00
