I know it was a little bit mean of the knights and Arthur to tease Merlin, but speaking as someone who has older brothers...well, that's just how they show that they love you-teasing and making fun. To me, Merlin is like the little brother who gets picked on by all his older brothers (the kinights and Arthur) But you know that any one of them would take an arrow through the heart for him.
What is up with all the uptight Merthur fans here? They gave him the food in the end it was only a joke, and I laughed because I knew they wouldn't really be mean to Merlin they all love him too much. Of course they would have left him some food. Sheesh!
I hated this scene! The knights and Arthur were so cruel and I didn't find it funny at all. They laughed at Merlin's expense and they were not even enchanted. A joke is a joke but they left him no food at all. What was funny about that? What was cute? Sorry I don't call that bromance at all.
@g2lm4l that's true! I've only read a couple in which he wasn't a bad cook.. and it's not like his food made arthur moan at how good it was anyway! ..Not that arthur didn't end up moaning in the end xD
I really want to slap arthur and the knights, even if they left his some food. The knights have been spending too much time with Arthur. Merlin should uses his magic and make arthur and the knights pants fall down
I suspect this was Gwain's idea, at least in part. He's teased Merlin like this before, when he pretended to expect him to go collect firewood alone when there were wolves around. He had him all scared and angry, then smiled and said "can't you tell when someone's joking with you?" and went to get the wood himself.
I didn't enjoy watching this at all, but I think in their own way the knights are showing Merlin that he's one of the guys. They're not just being jerks, it's a comradery thing.
