with a revolver, you have multiple chambers that revolve around. cocking the hammer on a double action revolver just doesnt change the fact you already have a round in the chamber, it just makes for a shorter trigger pull.

I think the Rossi is really underrated. I put 150 .38 special wad cutter's thru mine at the range and at like 10 yards I was getting pretty good accuracy. It is what it is and nothing more - but it has a smooth double action trigger, good recoil absorption, and for a 2 inch barrel it really surprised me. So, now it is cleaned, oiled and is a nice house gun. Nice video. Looks like you were having fun. sincerely, JAMES.

i found the rossi to perform perfectly, not really the best trigger pull and they overall workmanship is nothing compared to a colt or smith, you get what you pay for

with these pistols you do not have to cock the hammer each time, they are both double action. the 357 is exactly the same as the 38 but can fire both 357 magnum and 38 cartridges

yes, cocking the hammer just shortens the trigger pull making the gun more accurate, if you wanted to you could cut the spur off the hammer and never have to cock the gun to fire it
