why would you ignore the beautiful music of Nino Rota. Is it that you are hung up on the picures of J-B Maunier and the beautiful kids in the movie and do NOT really care for the music they bring to us. Would you drink sour cider with Camembert?

I speak not a word of French, but that hardly matters (I think). Wonderfully uplifting production, and I sense all had a great time making this simple but highly entertaining film. Gerard is the perfect teacher; Jean Baptiste M..needs no praise..a beautifully expressive face and great vocal range.

Hey ! I'm French and I saw the movie with my class about 6 years ago and I bought it in DVD because I just love it. I would never imagine that it would become famous in so much other countries like UK or Germany or Spain ...Even if it worth it ... Bravo !
