  • its is

  • Its her

  • arianalynn is in this commercial

  • Great movie! Did you travel the world?

  • Jeremiah Jones is a pro atv rider.

  • kick ass

  • by far yours was the best nd most professional. But the cute stuff won as usual

  • You were robbed. Heinz has no clue what good is, unless good is mediocre, and that's a 'youtube' video. Think about it. Corporate beataches try to rule filmmakers and they succeed. Its awful. good will always shine thru. People filming their kids with no concept dont do it for me or anyone.

  • I would like to defend Heinz here, as the filmmaker of this video. Heinz provided a tremendous opportunity for just the average person to have a "taste" of commercial success. The winner was based on a tabulation of votes from Across America. I wasn't robbed... I got 5,700 bucks for doing what I love!

  • If your satisfied, I guess it's all good, though I think this commercial is hands down the best one out there. All the other ones were generic "family-oriented" ads but yours did something different. It rocked. Anwyays, congrats on the runner up.

  • id like to see more info on how you made the video. how much u spent. Did u actually go to different places in the world

  • BTW, you've inspired me to do some really dandy work with sound effects in case I ever advertise a product. Genius!

  • As a fresh pair of eyes, yours should have won hands down. The others were good too, as you say, but still, yours really had that professional look. Hey, since you're in Cali, you should apply for jobs out there man. You got something none of us out here in Ohio have. Opportunity! :) Best of luck, cheers!

  • I have to agree with jamiezari. The best spot out there. Funny, tight, shot well, great editing...come on. And this is from another contestant.

Honestly, though, I think Heinz was looking for a very specific home video/feel vibe. The winner was nicely done, but, honestly, this spot blew me away.

And on a freaking dvx100. Man...Some people have talent.

  • Very kind words, thank you. I have to admit however, the winning spot placed lots of good feelings in my heart too. Congratulations to them. Just so you know, I shot it on the HVX, not the DVX. Both fine cameras however.

  • Your commerical was the best! You should of won, but congrats on making the top 5!

  • Absolutely amazing! I hope you win, man -- this was terrific! I'll be watching tomorrow :)

    -MGM

  • omg dude this is the best one I have seen... very nice!

    P.S.

how much money did you guys spend?

  • Wow, Jeremiah!

When you played the song for us at the Notary Class, never thought it would turn out this good, even tho the song was great!

Congrats! I hope your hard work pays off!

  • Let me just jump on the band wagon and say that it was a pleasure working with all of you especially Jeremiah. I am I'm the DP on the shoot, Pete Villani.

  • YEAH! Great working w/you Jeremiah and may this one winwinwin:)

  • i hope you win!

  • Nice job

  • Congratulations; you deserve it. Great piece of work. The elements all come together just right.

  • Also, I noticed the extensive use of dolly shots. I think that what makes this one stand out above others. How did you get the zoom out shot of the girl in the desert? And where did you get your CGI from?

  • We used a device called a slider. Brilliant little gadget that simulates a dolly. The DP on the project knew about it and brought it on board. For the CGI, I used public domain images from NASA and warped them into a sphere.

  • I so need the use of a slider. How do I get one? What's it consist of? I need the use of it for a web series we're working on.

  • If this was independent, kudos... it doesn't look like you shot this in your backyard like most others. :) I just can't shake the fact that it looks WAY too good for a low budget production. How did you build the igloo? Exactly where in the world are these locations an hour from each other?

    Cheers!

  • Most are in LA county. The igloo was styrafoam. Desert was in Santa Clarita. Queen's Manor in Redlands, CA. China in Chinatown. India in... an Indian restaurant! LOL.

  • Very cool. I seriously doubt anyone can beat it. Very nice job! I hope to beat you for round two. :) Or come close... ;)

  • You're the Best! A great inspiration! I hope you win!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • :) The best part of this whole experience was meeting you. Thanks Sonya. - MM

  • Ditto {{{***}}} :-X

  • Really, really nice job. Good luck with the contest and all the good work you'll do in the future as a result!

  • Very nice work, Jeremiah. Great use of the bit of humor within, too! Congratulations on making the top 15. macvideo1

  • I shot the commercial on the Panasonic HVX-100a, which I rented for a few days. The locations are all within an hour from each other. I spent about half my month's salary, not that much since I'm fresh out of college. Heinz indeed put every effort to make this a contest for the people. But I'm actually flattered you think it's from an ad agency! Thank you!

  • what camera did you shoot this on? How in the world did you get all those locations? how much preproduction did you have to do? what kind of budget were you working with? answer these and you got my vote! thanks!!

  • Jeremiah, I knew you would be there when the dust settled. Good for you. Alot of pro work that definately should be recognized. Good luck in September, but not TOO much luck. Ha Ha.

    Jared

  • Fantastic visually, beautiful colors, etc. The actors are great looking, has a good feel to it. The international angle lets us know that everyone can enjoy catsup!

  • enjoyed the diversity... Good luck with the competition!

  • looks great...well done! 5*****

Check out and rate mine @ Zbar16 Thanks and Best Of Luck!

  • nice work. glad to see the ferris wheel in action. did you have to wait a while?

  • it looks like i might have some competition. nicely done

  • how did you do that???!!! Amazing. Truly amazing. This is by far the best video I've seen yet. I love how you used the beat and really brought it to life. Everything just fits in perfectly! Good luck, as if you need it! Check out ours--"defending great taste" (entry number: 2867)

  • Good job, good pacing.. Rock On!

  • Thanks. A lot of wonderful people gave of themselves to bring this spot to light, from the people behind the camera to the actors. It was their contribution, and the positive attitude we all shared, that made it what it is.

  • Wow, all I can say is WOW!!!!!! Lot's of wonderful things going on here. I really don't have time to start listing all of the things I am jealous of. Casting/DP/Directing/Music Pulse/Editing etc. etc. I used Kimbery Crest for engagement shoots for almost 10 years. Great location. How much are they charging for use these days.

    Jared

  • Thanks for your comments everyone! It was a lot of fun to make and I'm pleased if it's just as fun to watch.

    -JJ

  • wow - obviously the production value is totally standout. a diamond in the rough. great work.

  • Nice

  • Great. That was as close to perfect as I hope to see. Well done.

  • Fantastic production value. You've got my vote... and I made one! HAHA

  • Are you sure that you are in the right competition? Are you sure you are not a signed director with a major production company?!!! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU! You are in my top picks of the summer! 5 Stars! I love it!!!! ~Sonya Rose, also in the competition...somewhere in the world.

  • Fantastically done! This commercial is a wonderful endorsement for Heinz. It subtly and humorously reminds us that while our cultural differences can be quite obvious, we share the more important characteristics of love, kindness and sharing regardless of where we live. What a positive and fun concept for a commercial. Fun to watch and the next time I use ketchup, I will probably strike a little tune of my own on the bottle.

  • Wow- that's good. We did one too, but I must say, WELL DONE!

  • Heinz Worldwide. The story angle is done with good taste and gives credence to the product. Convinced me that everybody likes Heinz!

  • Heinz worldwide. Good visual concept. Well paced. Use of diverse locations and cast engages the product in an imaginative way.
