@TracyStarNow Go listen to All the Stars and Boulevards again. He did go after her. She's over him though. Like I mentioned in a comment earlier, this is like a part 3 to Boston. In Boston, the girl decides to final move on. In Wasteland, the guy decides to go after her but comes back alone. In Sunday Best, he finally realizes that it's his turn to move on.

yup! I agree with CreamCB. This song is in relation with the Boston song. It seems he has moved with her to Boston, now that summer is coming (ocean getting warmer) she wants to move back to Los Angeles, CA. He doesnt want to hold her back, and move with her again, as he loves her too much :-)

There is also some reference that they were alright in Los Angeles. But it always rained in Boston, nd they were hardly alive there. She never cried, they hardly felt love there.
