SO I've been listening to an Australian new artist lately named KIMBRA. I love her sound and I kept saying she reminds me of Swing Out Sister and someone else. Well .. I finally remembered who ... What is so clever about this song is the way it builds. I always like to imagine her singing this as an unknown girl auditioning for a recording contract. She walks in with a Casio keyboard under one arm and some Midi bits and pieces and a portable amp under the other arm, spends ten minutes apologetically setting up while the company guy sighs impatiently, but eventually she starts. By 1.09 she's got his attention, by 1.42 he's foot-tapping uncontrollably, and by 2.05 she's got the contract!
