Well thanks. I'm not really into competitive play. I think that would take a lot of the fun out of just joining a server and playing with friends. Even so, 6v6 games rarely utilize Spies due to the small team sizes.

Also, have you tried 6v6? I recommend you test your mettle there. Quite fun and intense, but no stupid ppl there ;D.

I'm no pro, but you could use the revolver more, like when that demo was backed behind your spawn.

Running around with the revolver out is usually a good idea too, switching to knife for backstabs.

There are moments where you didn't use your revolver, or cloaked and ran away. You're a great spy, I suppose I'm just used to the Dead Ringer now. xD

I hate that first song, but you're right it did sync up rather well.

I enjoyed it, but I certainly didn't gain anything from watching. I just like watching commentaries and trying to figure out how much of it was actually thought while playing, and how much is afterthoughts while watching.

One thing though: OMFGNinja tutorials are almost as obsolete as EvilDaedalus tutorials these days. So many updates, the spy really does play quite differently now.

Well, that's somewhat true. Although it is much more difficult to play spy now, at least (both) those videos give you an idea about the basics of

- Stab-sap/sap-stabbing

- Stalking

- Leaping/flick-stabbing

- Shortcuts/health scavenging

- Class matchups

- Line-of-sight tricks

None of which I go over here. And regardless, it's stuff I think all Spies should know.

though even though you admit your "aiming skills are like a 5yo on a sugar rush" a few popshots at say... that medic attempting to cap the second point would have gotten you a cleaner kill, and had zero chance of him getting suspicious and retaliating before you moved in for the "poke"

While true, I noticed his health and knew that it would only take one hit to kill him. If I used my magnum, I'd run the risk of him retreating if I missed. This way, I knew that if I could get close enough, I could get the kill. Just a situational choice, but good advice ;-)

btw, try using the dead ringer if you havent allready, it takes a bit of getting used to but it pays off! nothing like letting an enemy spy backstab you then returning the favour seconds later!
