  • Stop arguing, just listen to the music..

  • Best music to revise to..

  • Nothing better, than laying under the stars listening this music. Taking a deep breath, and closing my eyes- its just so easy to be lost in the music...

  • there best album, if only the vinyl edition was cheaper than 400$ on eBay...

  • @JonathanArsenault12 $400? Ouch. I'll stick to the $15 or so I paid for the CD, lol.

  • @AstronautJ yeah but its pretty rare + good quality

  • @JonathanArsenault12 I was actually going to fork out the dough for a vinyl copy of Rosetta's The Galilean Satellites, but apparently most bands signed to indie record companies don't actually receive a single cent for sales of the music -- their entire income comes from tickets and merch.

I understand that the bands need labels, but if I'm paying that much for musician's art, I want some of it going to the actual band. Ah well. What can ya do.

  • @AstronautJ Oh really? It's sure that if you buy it used they'll receive no money if we buy it from the internet or a label they used to be. I know vinyl press are really expensive. But one thing is sure : buying records cannot hurt the indie label nor the artist since the indie label help promote/schedule tour.

PS: The Galilean Satellites can be played two discs at once (notice the same song length from each disc) or separately.

  • @JonathanArsenault12 Oh for sure. More money going towards the people making or helping to release great music is always good. It's just a shame there isn't more of it for the artists to receive.

I actually ripped both discs to my computer a while back so I could combine them. Turns out having both play separately on either side of you is a thousand times better.

  • @AstronautJ I won't disagree on that, playing both at the same time feels like too much, but it does work ahah XD

  • @benmason32 Lol. Get mad, bro.

  • @AstronautJ Lol. Get straight, bro.

  • @benmason32 Watch out, guys. We got a badass over here.

  • Just lying in bed before going to sleep and listening to this with my eyes closed, its amazing how so many memories and emotions hit me..

  • @LucyHubbard I've fallen asleep many times with their albums on.

It's like drifting into another world.

  • I'm listening to this song and drinking water. Water never tasted so good.

  • 4:45 makes me cry everytime

  • bands like these are heard by true fans. not having millions of views, but having a crowd of people that enjoy and support the artist. a lot of pop songs have tons of likes/dislikes, but with these bands there's little to dislike. less haters :)

  • I exploded in my pants at 4:45 ..

  • @iTokeDAS Mine too, dude.

  • I'm a senior in high school and all my parents preach about is going to college. School is obviously important but, is that really all there is too life? The more talks we have, the more scared I get.

  • As I was listening to this song, I refreshed my facebook page and it paused.. as if time stopped. Instead of getting impatient I enjoyed the silence

  • beautiful

  • EVERY SONG THEY WRITE IS GREAT ...THUMBS UP IF YA AGREE!!

  • One day when me and my friend were painting, he put on Mogwai, and it was the first time I heard it and thought it was amazing. I been writing a lot, trying to get a book done, and so I been listening to Mogwai. Then youtube recommended God is an Astronaut. Amazing! Listened to that for weeks, maybe months,, and now I find Explosions in the Sky, and other similar groups. Amazing music!!! It is all helping to raise consciousness on this planet!

  • years now, I come back to this song.

  • sound like sonic youth :)

  • I would like the time to stop, just for a second, so I can relax for a second... in this fast-paced world.

  • @jesuislepluscool:

You would probably identify with this: /watch?v=_1n1oK-EiOo&NR=1

    :)

  • For some reason as I listened to this song I was increasingly aware and anxious of time passing. It was as if time had stopped only for me, and the world kept moving, and I was frustrated that the world couldn't listen to this song and stop too and appreciate the moments instead of blurring them into nothingness.

  • With tender care, I’m truly sure to find it there. The love I never really felt, the hands I’ve always searched for. Oh, let me escape from the gripping hands of torment. Let the wraiths which haunt my every waking moment leave that I may once again see the heavenly light which once befell me. Where, oh where have you gone paradise? From the younger days I used to see you, in short spurts and flashes. Now afflicted in loneliness, tears fall from my eyelashes.

  • @ExperimentallyInsane im sorry, i was on the phone could you repeat all that?

  • i need to smoke an ounce and listen to thiis :)

  • @727themastermind I feel ya on that one

  • una obra de arte

  • 6:10 !!

  • This song actually felt like it was playing for an infinity for some odd reason lol.

  • ten minutes of heaven

  • i hate that i fell in love with you to this album and that every time i listen to this band i think of you but i rather think of you and hate it than stop listening to explosions in the sky i love them more then i ever loved you

  • I am glad to have found this... a show with this band and Russian circles would be bad ass.

  • @TheMatttj Russian Circles are more Post Metal, maybe a show with Mogwai would be more fitting.

  • I can listen to any of there songs and throughout I can re-live the past and even though some of the memories are hard to think about, at the end its all about forgiveness and love...never thought i could feel that through just music...but its quite amazing

  • Just let your memories be the lyrics...

  • keep listening this song for months and months over again.. i love you E I T S

  • this is AWESOME! =)

  • I transcended musically at 4:48....

  • It used to be hard for me to write stories. Now, whevever I listen to Explosions In The Sky, the words just flow. I love this band and their music; I couldn't live without it. :)

PLEASE DONT SPAM ME, ITS AMAZING!

  • @MistaEG33 Fuck, you're right.

  • I found this band by accident a few days ago, and i had this playing in the background as i was writing an English Essay. It was breathtaking. I literally had to stop writing just to absorb the sounds.

  • @0Smilelikeyoumeanit Check out other post-rock bands if you like this.

  • Even having heard this song before, when I'm playing it in the background in my room, at 4:48 I still have to stop whatever I'm doing and just listen... The song is oh so true to its title. :)

  • Me and my friend like listening ot this while we draw. :3

  • This song is like a journey, it takes me through so many different landscapes and patterns of thought that it actually helps me think more clearly (or perhaps that's the THC); this is especially so at 4:48. This music to me seems to come from somewhere "real", somewhere deep inside us all... that spark of genius that makes 'music' evoke emotional responses from us.

I feel that we are all variations of each other divided only by the VAST differences in individual perception and experience.

  • ...utterly amazing

  • my mom is in the next room over, watching glee sing pop songs. and i'm here in my room. listening to amazing music. i sorta pity her.

  • I am on the verge of tears.

I experience such strange, undescribable feelings.

    I listen to this song.

    I read the comments, and

I discover that there are people out there that sometimes feel the way I do.

I have much love and respect for you all.

  • @XxXchaoschickXxX I feel the same way... I can't even explain! But, when i hear these song I feel as if im going to cry...

  • The Absolute End Of The World post-rock /instrumental /electronic band from Turin,Italy

    myspace/taeotw

  • So I was listening to this song, it wasn't metal or popy or anything like that, it was mellow. And while listening to it I began to think about you, my baby girl, and how much I love you and care about you and miss you tremendously. It also made me think of how lucky I am to have you in my life and how I don't want to ever lose you. When I'm with you it seems as if time stops. I love you Kayla. :)

  • @estk88 Don't let anything ruin it, I hope you stay together forever and after.

  • @zshark6000 or a bad song for that matter...

  • they still tuning their guitars until 4:48...

  • 4:45 is a surreal moment. Specifically, if this is your first time listening to this song.

  • @erfan1981

Yeah, that's true; but it stays surreal for me despite how many times I've listened to this song =]

  • @erfan1981 Couldn't agree more!

  • @erfan1981 Awww shit. It's my first time. Can't wait :D

  • in the future, mankind will unite and post rock will be the soundtrack to the stars.

  • big development, an history ... love it!

  • just raped the replay button to this song while doing a 3 page essay, i can listen to rap and this type of music only.... singing is just whiney to me idk why

  • The song is great throughout, but it doesn't really hit its mark until 4:48, then it knocks you off your ass.

  • @BloggerMusicMan Like your comment. In Australia we say 'knocks you on your ass' ;)

  • @BloggerMusicMan

i respectfully beg to differ. the buildup is what actually makes the rest of the song.

  • @BloggerMusicMan That's a trademark that is simultaneously their weakness and their strength. I know a bunch of people who like parts of their songs but just can't get past the long buildups. I find that it makes the bigger moments that much more exhilarating, but others find it boring.

  • It's such an amazing song. Thank you for uploading this :)

  • The only thing I don't like about this band is sometimes they get pretty loud at the end of their songs.

  • This touches my soul.

  • Love This Track =)

    Thanks for uploading

  • this is to you Ivone. Happy birthday...

  • i mean "the song turns me in a way"

  • Comment removed

  • at 4:48 the song turns i way....fell in trance and dont know anything around me its just the composition and me in this world and i start to dance in my head so much different styles of dancing and the world just feels so amazing, there strart a prickle in my stomage, gets over to my heart and ends in my arms and legs and it's just: wooow *___*

  • i usually listen to metal and it puts me in one emotion that usually agression, i can feel multiple ones with this

  • While this song was playing, I was sitting alone,I came to the realization that this is the way things would always be. My heart malnourished. No one to give my love and no one to give it back.

  • @skikkja Oh, there's definitely someone that you can give your heart out to. Promise.

  • @skikkja :-)

  • thumbs up if you came here cuz of "Pro Dance Agency" (:

  • This is the most amazing thing I have heard in a lond time. <3

  • As a buddhist who uses meditation to escape the world and tis troubles ive never foudn anyother way to reach that spiritual trance but now with this song i felt everything drifting away and irreleavent Explosions in the Sky really does speak to the soul

  • @jacobkipp indeed man!

  • @jacobkipp

yeah i think just as you, everything is so far away

  • burn sahin

  • This is my favorite album and song

  • I've been going through the most difficult time in my life to this point as a result of losing someone, but for the 10 minutes this song is on, I'm able to let go for a little while. Who would've thought music with no words could be way more powerful than any song with lyrics ever could.

  • honestly EITS is the best music to listen when your doing any school work, heck with it, its the best anytime!!

  • @zomb3kill3r My boss lets me listen to it day in day out :D It's the best ever and everybody likes it :) Definitely keeps me relaxed and focused.

  • @zomb3kill3r ya man i'm doing the 2nd draft of an essay right now and i am writing so much better than i did the first time. could it be due to this song??? yes!

  • 4:48. Brilliant. Goosebumps.

  • This song is life.

  • 6:07 reminds me like right when they start rockin out reminds me of something epic, dangerous, and lifetaking happen and not ending for a while. like for example theres snow on the ground about 7 inches high, you and your friends snuck out goin cow tippin in some dudes pastor and there are about 50 acres there and the guy goes out in his truck chasing yall down and right when everyone starts running LITERALLY for theyre lives that loud head banging music starts.

  • I totally love this song!

I have record a bit of instrumental songs, inspired by Explosions on The Sky and other artist, they're post-rock, so check out my channel! Thanx!

  • at first i only liked metalcore...then i heard your hand in mine...now all i listen to is eits

  • Looking back on my teenage years.. I can literally say, THIS BAND CHANGED MY LIFE. Truth. I would not be where I'm at if it wasn't for such therapy thanks to EITS. My favorite band, always, through thick & thin.

  • AWSOME MUSIC...GOD CREATED MUSIC FOR US TO WORSHIP HIM...THANK YOU LORD

  • @swerk92 FREAK

  • my fav part is 3:18

  • Man this music does something that voice never could. The guitar starting at 4:47 no voice can ever come close to that

  • @MyTriplePBaby Is the best part of this music.

  • at 4:47 i always shiver

  • Music with lyrics.. tell you what to feel, because its an explanation, it says what the song is about.

EITS you can take any song and it can make you feel however you want, for some it could a love song, others it could be tradgic.

All I know is both lyrics or without lyrics Music is life.

EITS is heaven in my ears, but so are other bands. Its just how you feel at the time.

  • EITS hs a good and bad side.

Good side is that it incrases my concentration when doing my homework by roughly 30%

Bad side is that it gives me a 3% chance of falling asleep in total peace.

  • to be truthful i listen to this music when im high:D

  • @Dr0neWREKZ I know what you mean man

  • @ghettomt damn right :D

  • At 4:47, my heart leaps every time. I feel transported... They are just so good!

  • the missed note at 5:33 is so awesome, it porves that these guys are real and not robots :) this is some of the greatest music to come out of this decade. EitS thank you for playing the music you want to play, your music will be immortal.

  • purely amazing.

  • I was listening to this song when I was told that my dog had pasted away.

  • God-Tier Post-rock right here.

  • GO COME TO PERUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • while listening to this song over and over again i completly lost my sense for time

  • LOve it So much

"Music when it hits you, you feel no pain!" - Bob Malrey!

  • This is amazing! I think of what Bob Marley once said....

"Music when it hits you, you feel no pain!"

This music hits me and all I feel is love! Its rescued me for today from the pressures of looming exams while I try get through all these hectic assignments!

Thank you for making this playlist!

  • Music does not bullshit you. It always makes you feel something. This song is a journey. The beginning is birth, a slow, gradual exploration of existence. The middle is bliss. Like when you first experience love. That first time you really fall in love and think it will last forever. Time Stops. Life takes on new meaning. The ending slowly fades as the volume decreases... but the music never lets up, never wavers. It signifies to live life to the fullest, until your last breath. EITS nails it.
