I guess Archer breaks harder, but Shane has the best 10-ball break at the moment.
Makes a specific ball every time, 1 ball ends up near a corner pocket at the headstring, whitey stays in the middle of the table and few to no clusters.
I copied his break against the version most germans do (either middle of the headstring or 9-ball like)
Works very well for me, I make that specific ball Shane makes, but have to work on cueball control more
Hardness Doesn't Matter on the break..It's all about pocketing a ball and leaving the cueball within 1 diamond of the center of the table...If you can do that 100% of the time while breaking 5 M.P.H, I'm sure billiard digest will be ringing your phone off the hook :-)
@nugget147 they clocked him at 24mph in 10 ball at one tournament i was at. Thats probably average hillbilly breaks around 31 mph but only breaks around 25 mph in tournaments but this looks like around 18 mph. The only one i can think of that might break slower than svb is probably corey duel they give up speed for control which seems to work because his break is pretty consistent especially in 10 ball
best break in pool Period.

How does Shane's break compare with others in MPH - has this ever been measured?
It looks so lazy and relaxed, where someone like Archer looks like he's angry at the balls.
Does anyone know which of these two guys hits them harder?

Love this guy's break. This angle doesn't do it justice though.
