  • Appreciating that a comment above is from 2 years ago, its still worth responding to -- I'm a "leftwing American liberal," and an ACLU supporter. I've been a Raiders fan since I was 9 (in 1962). Read every book written on the Raid. The comments suggested that we liberals, circa 1942, would have "tried to prosecute these men for war crimes." The individual commenting must be a right-winger, who doesn't know history. Franklin Roosevelt, commander in chief, was, of course, a great liberal.

  • japan started this war and kills many asian people

that's the reason of this raid

  • General Doolittle recivered the medal of honor for the mission. Please don't forgot hunders of innocent Chinese were massured by the Imperial Japanese army for helping the down pilots to safety .They( the Chinese) were the heros

  • I think the doolittle raid was to tell Japan...

Hey listen We can strike your heart so this 4 year island hoping campaign were about to do. You might want to not send so much troops equipment, etc. instead keep them at home to defend your mainland. Therefore weaking up the Japaneses defensive's on islands. Plus it boosted moral back in the USA. Doolittle was a great tactician

  • today, you would have leftwing american liberals trying to prosecute these men for war crimes, jerks like the a.c.l.u ,jewish liberals etc]

  • @MarkFFHH um..nothing wrong being Atheist. in fact Atheist is one of the fastest growing things in the USA. and remember most of the founding Fathers where not Christian.

But ya Communist suck and the ACLU 95% of the time are dumb asses once every 5 years they mange to do something half right.

  • Ok for you halfwits that have no clue who attacked us on December 7th, 1941. It was JAPAN not China.

  • love these photos of Doolittle Raiders.... but not the lame sound affects

  • America had the Can Do Sprite back then - Today it is being sold out to China - The hippies from the sixties are distrorying US. And the dumb buy it cheap US citizen don't care. Drive your Toyota PROUDLY = Trader

  • fuck you talkign about we still got th can do spirt jsut not enough of it.

  • "Gen. Doolittle never cursed in public, he considered it a sign of a low IQ" ---Doolittle family member

Don't be influenced by Hollywood's "Pearl Harbor" it is so intentionally dishonest there's not enough room here.

Just attended the 66th Doolittle Raider Reunion last weekend, but agree every US soldier in Afghanistan or Iraq has what it takes

  • Quite right he was too, fuck him(lol).Pearl Harbour the movie was an insult to the Doolittle fliers and the entire generation that fought ww2.

  • We are now sellouts to china - we fought the stupid chinks in world war 2 and today we sell out to these chinese chinks.

The chinese navy sneak attacked us at pearl harbor and look at us today - in debted to china up to our eyeballs.

Amazing how we Americans forgave the Chinese so quickly for waging war against us in World War 2.

We are truly a nation of sellouts to chinkland.

  • What the hell are you talking about? We were not at war with China in WWII. In fact, the Chinese were actually on our side. This because of the Japanese invasion of China during the 1030's. In fact, some of the Doolittle raiders landed in China after the April '42 raid. This was also before Mao took over in 1949, although there had been internal fighting in China for about 20 years before the Communist takeover.

  • thats actually my great grandfather hes cool isnt he

  • Really?! I really hoped that my great grandfather too was a WWII hero.

  • was he really your greatgrandfather? I'm a doolittle and my grandmother met him and my dad had some of his autographed stuff. Do you live in Cali?

  • My son is a direct descendant of Moon. The chinese pilot that picked him up and flew him back to safety. He still remembers him vividly at 96 years of age!

He and Doolittle still kept in touch for many years after. How are you related?

  • Unbelievable...where did you get these pics??? Doolittle was a giant among men as were the other Raiders! He will never be forgotten..thank you!
