  • Frank from Blue Velvet keeps creeping into my mind ! Nooooo !

  • is it just bcuz i'm pissed or does anyone else's ear tell them that jim carrey could do this voice register or woteva ??? huh???

  • pretty cheeseball version of this amazing tune... sure the guy can sing like a champ but its just a corny twist he puts on such an honest and genuine song

  • This version sure sounds like Maggie May to me!!

  • DYLANS VERSION MAKES MY BABY BLUE , BONNETS IS BY FAR THE BEST AND I STILL HAVE THE SAME SUNNIES AND HAIRCUT AS HIM ...SIGH.....SAD !

  • Notice the German language introduction to this by the TV presenter? I remember this song in the Top 10 on commercial radio. Memories !

  • AWFUL! A TRAVESTY!

  • i sat next to him on a plane many years ago, LA - melbourne, via NZ. i had no idea who he was then. we both got upgraded to 1st class and got pissed as. he's a grouse bloke!

  • One of his best mates is my dads friend (they're in a band together LOL) about 2 years ago spent the whole night chatting the Graham - God times :)

  • bravissimo

  • classic, the best cover of any dylan song ever, hard to beat, will it be bettered in the future?? dylan's songs will be covered extensively in the future as they are brilliant fundamentally and are open to interpretation and experimentation I am excited to see future releases of his classics. Surely there shall be some versions close to this.....

  • cool singer , great song

  • Here he looks like Richard Quest from CNN..... Sorry but he does... but no denying his fantastic voice......

  • Saw an old" In Living Color" last night. Jim Carrey is the splitting image of Graham.

  • great version... the best probably!

  • Like Van Morrision's version best on the 2nd Them album.

  • Cool singer! Best version of this song i've heard! Love this guy's style of singing :) wicked!

  • this guy really can sing

  • Best version! This is the only one I ever hear on the radio!

  • great version...but dylan can sing as well as bonnet....no question

  • muy buena cancion....

    eres genial bonnet

  • what a voice - wow had under rated Bonnet's tonsils

  • the way he does this song is ageless. I am 46 and i love it. My daughter is 18 and she loves this version too

  • seen him live on countdown in 76 singin this (sorry miming) this song.

  • go off graham!!!.

  • Why is it that Bob Dylan's songs always sound better when they are covered by everybody else?

  • Graham Bonnet is the most amazing signer ever!

  • the best song graham sang it better then bob dylan ever could

  • He looks like he did this in his lunch break, then went back to the office.

  • Graham Bonnet and Noddy Holder are two of my favorite singers :))

  • No-one sings Baby Blue like Graham Bonnet ... this is the best version ever!

  • makes me feel so nostalgic and i long for my teen days..

    what a classic..

and he was a real spunk..

    xx

  • @leahmhaines61 I love this song heaps... I listen to this particular YouTube version regulary and your comment is the most recent and they always have that dude that has been there for a year..... I like your comment more..

  • @dusysoonerable Thanks yes..

this song takes me right back to being 16 again..

    he was great..

    and what a song.

    xxxxx

  • Voices are not that similar, but he reminds me of Buddy Holly. Same type of presence and energy on stage. Good stuff.

  • Cool as song

  • Yeah, basically the Jew stranglehold on ALL things creative, and wise, leaves us with this so obviously screwed up world of arts, and politics. Sorry, but money can't bring out the best of humanity.

  • Well, and no apologies whatsoever.........Dylan is a Jew, and they take care of their own...much to the detriment of quality, progress, and genious.

  • Catch the coke sniff at around 2:15?

  • One of my top records of 1976.

  • Dammit, this song is addicting....ugh!

  • Graham was one half of 'The Marbles'. His producer was Pip Williams, a great sax player.

  • Cooler typ ung geiles Cover!!!

  • Talent or what !!

  • versatility or what

  • great song writer...trippy

  • Long Live to Graham one of the best voices ever!!! Salute Graham

  • Excellent voice! One of my favorite singers.

From an interview w/ Roger Glover many years ago,the "Difficult To Cure" album was written w/ Graham's voice in mind, except he left halfway through recording. Listen to it & imagine Graham instead of Joe Lynn singing on the album. Sounds like Joe compensated for the songs because of Graham's range. We really didn't hear the real Joe Lynn until "Straight Between The Eyes".

  • Graham sings the damn hell out of it...

  • WTG Grey

  • yeah, this is where singing starts:D, man, i wish i had a voice like that..

  • what an amazing performance by this singer. the contrasts between the lame slide solo and Mr. Bonnet's voice make quite an interesting combination. the stage performance of Mr. Bonnet is over the top and one of the best pieces of video kitsch I've seen. when i just hear the audio, the incredible force that Mr. Bonnet puts into a fairly introspective ballad demands attention. It's an excellent interpretation of one of Mr. Dylan's best songs. Mr. Bonnet should have done more. rainbow? a paycheck?

  • The only time I listen to Dylan songs..is when someone does a cover.

I agree..more Bonnet/Rainbow would have been good..at least 1 more album..I think he was just finding his feet in the band.

  • Oh man, this is amazing.

He is such an underrated musician, he is a legend in my eyes.

And I once saw an interview with him, I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone with such a laid back easy going attitude.

Awesome talent and an awesome man.

    Thanks for uploading.

    Peace.

  • For a great cover of this song, check out Bryan Ferry's version!

  • Well Sonny..I don't want to hurt you..but Dylan can make me cry too, but I suspect for a different reason to yours.

  • Look out, the Saints are coming through..

  • I don't agree hunkydaboyz. He did admittedly dropped the key of the song a fair bit ( from F down to D ) and apart from only a few questionably pitched notes, it was sounding pretty cool. I doubt Graham Bonnet has ever or will ever murder a song. He is the singer's singer and one of the GREAT vocalists . : )

  • hey my comments gone , i love Bonnett , but i knew a couple of people who saw him , they weren't impressed did you see him sing at the shows

  • You cannot judge him at 61 years old!!! When he is in a good shape he's still incredible but of course he has some bad nights now more than in the past. But for me he is the best ever! And Don't forget he had big problems with alchool and his singing style is really extreme...often at the top of his range.

  • @rideon77 Wow good on Graham, always reckon alcohol is good for you, yes it has preserved him good advice here is drink plenty of grog lol Bloody great song.

  • @hunkydaboyz I saw Graham perform recently hunkydaboyz and he sounded FANTASTIC. We are blessed to have him.

  • @Natashahoneypot

he must've had a bad night, that night , would love to see the video from Warm Ride on You Tube

  • I know it's blasphemous to put down Dylan in any way, shape or form but why is it that every Dylan cover sound soooo much better when someone else is sing ing one of his songs. Maybe because they put some heart and soul into it. Just my opinion. Dylan is a weird cat. But then again, most geniouses are.

  • Dylan is a great songwriter (words and melody) but not a very good singer. Definiely not of Bonnet's class

  • The reason why Dylan covers sound better than the original is that..Like Graham Bonnet , they can actually sing..as opposed to Dylan...great lyricist but godawful vocalist.

  • @seventiesclassic Dylan might not have a typically "good" voice, but he sings his songs exactly the right way. the original vocals were somber and bittersweet, which is the vibe of the song. this guy's style is not suited towards Dylan covers, imo. too much oversinging...

  • @seventiesclassic Bob Dylan is a horrible vocalist agreed!

  • @seventiesclassic bullshit

  • @chbillgr

A good intelligent comment, well thought out, but not quite what we're looking for..I bid you good day.

    Next please.

  • @seventiesclassic thank you. now go listen to the osmonds.

  • @chbillgr

Love me for a reason, and let the reason be love.

  • @seventiesclassic hate me for a reason please.

  • @chbillgr

Ok... the reason is, you're a fucking twat.

    Good enough ?

  • @seventiesclassic from you, that is a big compliment, now go wash the dishes.

  • @seventiesclassic What ! Dylan can't sing, that old one.

  • @seventiesclassic Agreed, though I'll give him some credit for Lay, Lady Lay. I never would guess that was him if someone didn't tell me.

  • anyway a fantastic song

  • This aint the full version.... He totally left out the 2nd verse:

`The highway is for gamblers, better use your sense.

Take what you have gathered from coincidence,

The empty handed painter from your streets, is drawing crazy patterns on your sheets.

This sky, too, is folding under you.

And its all over now Baby Blue`

  • Tis is the full version of the Graham Bonnet version that it's a little different from the Dylan's one and it lacks of that verse.

  • very true mate

  • Awsome voice in this song, but doesn't seem complete in full as the description suggest's... seemed like he had a little left in him before he finished the song....5* none the less.

  • Cool song and great rendition.

  • Warm Ride , anyone ???? another great song

  • GRAHAM BONNET ROCKS HE IS GOD!!!

  • i love bob dylan but GRAHAM BONNET HAS got it going on AWESOME VOCALS 10**********

  • I second that, SLUMBERS2!

  • Thanks Jeanette...very good cover!! LY GF! :)

  • An excellent rendition. This was may favourite song when I was lad. It's great to sea him perform

  • No no, Dylan should be MADE to "sing" his songs so that people can tell what the hell he's singing lol

  • Dylan communicates telepathically.....

  • Imagine, this is live! Truly a great voice. Sort of a Jimmy Barnes who hasn't been weaned on scotch and razor blades. (He does look a bit like the bad terminator in #2 though!) Still, this song sort of reaches down to your adrenals and yells at "start moving! what are dead?!" Bob who??

  • I love this song, and the funny part is I see Graham as looking like Chandler from friends LOL, funny how we see people.

  • GB probably moved from this to the "warm ride" era, then on to lead singer of Rainbow circa 1980....?

  • Never heard of him, love it though.

  • graham bonnet is a badass

  • brilliant cover of dylans song

  • Wonderful!!! Roeleke

  • classic stuff! Bob Dylan writes good songs but sometimes he should let professional singers sing them!

  • U dont fucking know who Dylan is.

  • agreed

  • ditto

  • Dylan is GOD!

  • Graham is god, that's for sure.

  • Met Graham when he was in Alcatrazz back in '86. Great guy and unbelievable live singer!

  • This song is awesome!! I have tried so hard to get my hands on this single... can't even get it on itunes!!

  • Send me message with your email if you want it.

  • I got it from "limewire"along with warm ride.Hope this helps.Cheers

  • that's not good.....

    it's great!!!!!!!

    bonnet rocks!!!!!

can't wait for a new alcatrazz album

    or elektric zoo....finally!

  • OMG RideOn - if i could lean through my pc and give you a big sloppy kiss I would, straight up! In case my username doesn't give away I absolutely LOOOOVVVEE GB, and you posting this has made my day ;-) There's only so many times I can watch the 55second version without going insane from deprivation!

    Peace out brother xox

  • Enjoy This!!! Graham is my favourite singer ever!!!

  • thanks rideon ! what a voice he had then ? still a great singer now,but you know what i mean !!

  • Do you know if he has a "best of" album out? Or where I can find this song? having a bit of trouble tracking down anything of his. Also love his Bee Gees-written hit 'Warm Ride'.

  • The chance you can find the original singe is pretty hard....but there's an Antology called "The Rock Singer's Anthology" in wich this song is included!!!

    Graham Rocks!

  • Wow, thank you so for much for uploading this. Love this guy's voice. Best Dylan cover EVER!

  • Thank you too! Bonnet is just an incredible singer!!! My favourite ever!

  • not my favorite song .but god damn what a vocalist.i went to see him about 2 years ago. and he is still belting out songs that very good 20 year olds could only dream of singing.

  • excellent
