very nice! i usually do my portaits differently, just with different shades of pencil black & grey' sometimes i start off with a baby blue pencil, havent mastered doing it with a sharpy or marker like you', seems quiker that way

@FRISKIE889 No, thats an old "teacher line". The TRUTH is that you have to be willing to make mistakes. What I recommend is to scan one of your drawings before you shade and print several copies of it (preferably on drawing paper not printer paper). Then shade away until you get it right.

@dschadrac83 Illustration has become less of a FT job and more of a Per Diem job now. Top illustrators make good money, but you have to build your name. As of right now, my FT job is a Special Education teacher and PT for youtube (which I would love to do FT someday)

@savvisMJ not markers that can be erased....no such thing yet that I am aware of. I have used oil paint on watercolor paper (Check out Lenin Portrait or Mandela portrait). It gives a similar effect. Thank you as always savvisMJ!

@jsantis91 I NEVER use them alone! I usually use them in unison with pencil (either graphite or color pencil). Sometimes I put oil paint over the marker and color pencil (Many of the vids on my channel show this process if you want to see.)

@Siinzx0 That can be achieved through stenciling (as well as silkscreen)....I know a little more about stenciling. All it is is separating a picture in to 2 tones, printing it, cutting out one and spray painting the stencil.

@Glegend777 Honestly, I didnt start until I was 20y.o. (was forced to take a college class in music or art......and wound up practically addicted to drawing. I SUCKED for years, my parents and friends told me I was wasting money taking classes. It took about 4 years to be confident (and competent).

@albinepower generally 2-3 dollars per marker....there are a few sets that you can get....just the cool markers would be 25-30 bucks.
