PES used to be a lot better than FIFA until last year. FIFA 08 definitely improved upon FIFA 07 (which was total garbage). PES still has a slightly better gameplay, but graphics-wise and also because of the licencing, FIFA is better. but i gotta admit, some of the faces of the players look more realistic on PES than they do on FIFA. i'd buy both though, if you're a fan of good football/soccer games ^.^
