a big greasy hand, a propane torch, a trailer with one of those crazy dolly wrecker things the patrolmen turn their heads the other way and give tickets to truckers but leave the most danerous things hanging the car on a simple boat winch, will persuade these cars to the scrap yard slowly but surely
so sad. if you don't want a car, scrap it or sell it, but don't abandon it. there are some people who would like your car. think 10 times before you do such horrible thing.
most people see a junkyard as the end of the line for a car. I see it as a source of parts to breath new life into others that are being restored!!kiss
My doors and headliner and dashboard have heard dreams and tears . Good times bad and moans of pleasure on a lucky night for my driver . And the groan of an aching body after a long days work . Laugh of kids going on a trip far away . And even a little road rage over the years . Now hear I sit just a memory to my former owners and just a picture to you ,hoping for another chance to feel the road under my tires .
Two favorites of mine, the blues & old cassic cars!! I never lived in those days, but those cars are beautiful, wich they could be restored again, R.I.P.
Man alot of old rare good NOS parts on these old wrecks it would make a good restore project for someone restoring a 50's car or even a 40's car and there are some there.
This really tears up my heart... I was born in 1986 and i wasn't alive when these cars was made, but GOD i wish i was... I would any day pick a 50's car over a ferrari or whatever is popular these days... Back then, they made REAL cars! Not all the plastic crap they build today...
I get the feeling more often these days that I was supposed to be born 50 years ago. All my friends think Im crazy because I have a cell phone, but I hardly ever use it. All my friends like the new subaru's and nissans but I tell em that there all shit. Give me some good ol' Detroit Iron any day compared to all this jap crap on the road.
@Cuntry1988 I feel you man, I'm 18 and surrounded by HS kids that don't understand why you would touch anything older than a '95 Honda or whatever, luckily I have one or two real car guy friends to reason with. I own a 1951 Packard Patrician 400 with a 327ci straight eight and Ultramatic auto trans and it's close to the road but not there yet, it's a pretty solid AZ car that I got 2hrs north in the Phoenix area. my buddy has a '49 Chevy 3/4 ton and a '49 Stude truck body.
@the520koala nice to know there are people out there that still believe in metal and not plastic! Ive got a 95 silverado Daily driver but I also have a 71 chevelle 396. Would love to get into restoring some of these old classics instead of letting them rot, but unfortunately money is tight even for my chevelle. Guess thats what the lottery is for!
To some of the younger people nowadays that dont appreciate the old vehicles, and like the new flimsy shit cars, they may see these cars as junk,to me i call them Beautiful Junk! These are when they knew how to build cars!!!
Where is that? I've been looking for a 1954 Chevrolet Step Van Like the one at the end. My Late Father drove one like that when I was a little kid, and I want to build one in tribute to him.
it's not hard to see that these cars are made with real quality,it is some american car wrecks around me, that been standing there for many years and some of them are not in that bad shape!why won't they make these any more? :(
Its such a shame to see so much American history rotting. Back to a time when people actualy dreamed, and crafted cars of beaty. Now days all we have is cars that looked they have been crapped out of some colledge kids head. they lack imagenation. Hard to tell one from another. Only thing the new cars have is more durable engines.
I know where a few cars are like this, there was a place just like this less then amile from my house but after the old man died his family sold all of them... We're talking cars and trucks fom the 20s to the 60s.. But I always want to find one that has an engine that has at least been covered with the hood and try to get it running...doubtful I know...but I would love to try!
@Necroavitor I find these cars usually end up crushed or abandoned in the 80's/ 90's because they needed new brake drums or other simple parts. So sad!
Great vid. I bought my Fury from a wrecking yard here. Now it is back on the road. It looks like the cars there have been there forever. Look how many trees have grown up all around them. You would have to cut down a lot to get any of the cars out of there. It would be worth it though
When I was up north a few years back I was walking in the bush and I found some forgotten cars. One was a 57 Chevy 2 dr and a 57 Desoto limo 6 drs. plus other cars..
I know, I know it's still alive underground. What I mean is that our present times have nothing to offer in this area. All what we've got was born long ago.
ive been reading these comments i love to see people feel the same way i do about a car from the past instead of a new car THEY HAVE NO STYLE NO WONDER THEIR ALL GOING BROKE

I would like to have but I am one of those cars in the city Brazil.Qual these cars very good this video. I went back in time listening to the blue and old cars, which were one day and are marked in time, time of glory. A perfect union and blue cars.
I used to love to find these old antique junk yards, and just walk through them and dream. Now days, everyone is selling off metal, and so much good iron is going to China. I've got a couple of old rods and I'll keep 'em safe till I die. Who will take care of them after I'm gone?
this pure gold and i really want a nice original survivor from the fifties, but i respect it too much. even if i did find something like this i dont think i'd be able to disturb it.
ilovemelife old cars are better than new cars. As long as they work of corse. But they are. Take a car from the 30's, add a seatbelt, best car in the world.
