muy buen trabajo, bueno asi pense que era justamente,por ser un tema muy dificil,solo que tanto escucharlo aprendi como se dice un poco de maña,una sugerencia mi estimado ,en ves de hacer triples con el pulgar , intente lo siguiente,hacer la primer nota de tres con la mano izquierda golpeando ,y las otras dos con pulgar, asi tendria los triples con el tumb,sin hacer mucho esfuerso saludos

well, mark king himself plays most notes in this bassline also with his first finger mostly and his 3th finger...he does that with a lot of his basslines.

It pains me more to see his right hand thumping technique...he uses his thumb almost as a pick....but then again lvl42 lines are not easy and requiers endurance.

The notes you played were right, but they're supposed to be staccato notes, and you let them all ring through.

Sounds too confusing and not as rhythmic.

@vampiroangelico is almost right, the 1st note is sounded but the other 2 are muted or 'deadened,' by touching the strings with the fingers of the left hand while still slapping the strings with the thumb. letting all the notes ring as you seem to, just destroys the rhythm, feel and groove of the song.

pretty steady played at this tempo. i would advise (comming just from a hobby bassplayer) though to adjust your right hand technique a bit. your now playing with your thumb almost if it were a pick..its more a semi slap. also i see its endurance problem, but thats just a question of keeping on doing it. anyhow, if you play with your thumb more horizontal to the strings for most people its easyer to thumb faster. and last, try to thumb on the last frets and not behind it. keep on slappin :)

I use a metro or a drum machine and work up the tempo in increased increments to work on the speed of my playing. Mark King said the key to playing fast is to start slow and work your way up to get faster. Anyone should try it .....It really works.

I checked this song out live to see if Mark King used a hammer on technique which would make for easier playing but no he bounces it all on his thumb. So hats off to you for having the stamina to get through the whole of this track. I suggest you soak your thumb in surgical spirit if you jam this song a lot! :-)

I know what you're saying but it's hard to keep it up at this speed for the duration of the song, when I've finished playing this track my hand feels like it's gonna "fall off" kinda hurts slapping at such speed. I don't need to watch the live video because I only just saw them live about 2.5 days ago, I know how he plays it, Mark is a bass god.

Good stuff but if I could make one observation is that in this track the notes are played very short and stacctoo like, yours is a bit loose.
