Would you whiney people stop crying about this video? This dog AT WORST is simply annoying the cat..This puppy was not harming the cat and we just have 2 animals at play..or maybe one playing and the other getting annoyed..either way, both parties are just fine
They ARE "playing" - in a way. Obi is trying to top Alister - and Alister is not putting up that much resistance to it (for a cat, anyways). Animals don't discriminate between things like gender and species when it comes to sex. So in that light - it's absolutely hilarious, and probably not cruel.
Alister might just be giving up and going along with it because he has no option - but it's not likely. Those kinds of cats don't resist at all and Alister seems to be "catty" about being topped, LOL.
Would everyone calm the fuck down they are playing. My cat and dogs do the same thing and then five min later they are curled up together sleeping in a corner.
That cat was clearly unhappy/being abused. And I'm not the type to usually say this (I'm a hunter and not some left wing PETA wacko). As a respectable/responsible person you should know when to seperate these animals instead of filming. If I want to eat an animal, I respectfully kill it quickly with the least amount of pain.
@drewbehr Look at the description. Do you really think a 4 month old puppy would try to eat an adult cat? Yes, he's clearly bigger then the cat, but he's just playing a little rougher then the cat would like. If the cat felt threatened/too much pain it would probably do a little more then try to lazily get away.
@ElvisLivesUpstairs I highly question your intelligence. Your cat was the exception to the rule every cat I've met scratches and claws if he/she is unhappy. Furthermore give the owner the benefit of the doubt that she knows her own animals. And in your own words sounding like an 11 year old girl "shut the fuck up"
The dog was establishing dominance over the cat when dogs bite the ear like that its a sign of dominance as far as cruel goes its up to the owner to decide I personally would not let this happen but thats personal preference cause it looked like the cat did not want to stay in that place.
theres no way the cat cnt get away from this situation, clearly the cat was avoiding him yes but it wasnt trapped or in distress,or we would have heard frantic long meows, and as you could see the shiba inu had no intentions on harming the kitty cute video
i have a dog and a cat and they sure as hell don't play like that. It's not funny, the puppy needs to learn boundaries and obviously from the owners voice, she is egging on the puppy. if the cat wanted so much to play, he would not be trying to walk away. Not all cats are super feisty and hiss & bite.Whoever the owner is needs to know this behavior is not acceptable. If the cat was batting back & forth and moving quickly in a playful manner, then yes, they would be playing. THIS WAS NOT PLAYING
This is exactly how my jackabee and cat play. and trust me, the CAT starts it every time. Then he starts huffing if the dog starts to win. But not once have they hurt each other. They can play for hours at a time
You moron! Why would you let the dog harass your cat? While it looked like everything was fine in the beginning the cat was getting upset. You as an owner are responsible for making sure that nothing goes beyond play which it was going beyond. The dog might have thought this was playing, but the cat sure as hell didn't. You just laughed at the cat getting upset. Pathetic. You are a horrible pet owner.
Cats dont always hiss when they are being annoyed, they "meow" a certain way, its so easy to read a cats language when you been around them all your life. They will hiss when scared, extremely pissed off, hurt or being territorial.
People need to simmer down. Have you even seen a real furious cat? We had a cat when I was little, we'd let it outside if it wanted and the neighbourghs cat sometimes came over to troll her -_- When those two came together, it sounded like someone was banging real hard on the door. Loud screams and noises. We'd, ofcourse, came running and let her in. My point: If that cat was in panic or in pain it would've slapped the dog to let it know. If anything, it was just a tad bit uncomfy.
@Fonzidaboy Not necessary. Some cats roll over and take the abuse thinking someone (the owner) may save them. This cat may not have been furious, but it was upset and wanted the dog to stop, hence the cry like meow and the biting.
I agree this video shows cruelty to animals because the dog was bulling the cat which is dangerous. Peole like you dont deserve animals. Do you actually think its cute wait until the dog harms your cat then you wont think its so cute
to anyone who didn't notice.. the cat actually got a bit fed up at the end and bit the dog gently on the face as a warning... it's an older cat and practically the same size as the puppy... It could kick the puppies ass if it really wanted to.
People need to be calming the hell down.... The pup is young and he'll learn... if at any point the cat doesn't want to play any more he will put the dog in it's place... Telling these people they are bad owners cuz the animals are learning to play with each other is ridiculous... get real people...
the dog should have been taught then that he was too rough.you are not very responsible and it is people like you that creates problems for their dogs later in life resulting in inappropriate stupid law that target a whole breed because of stupid ignorant human.consequences of this? millions of perfectly healthy beautiful animal getting murdered because of YOU.
@joneeyu lol ur dumb. no one has ever murdered a dog because of its breed having a bad reputation, especially not on the scale of millions. and the cat was perfectly fine, it would have been much more obvious if the cat was upset. if you ever had a cat you'd know that they can fuck you up when they're angry.
@THEePICneSS51 .far from being dumd.fyi got 4 cats of my own, working in rescue and got 1 foster too.was raised on a farm, had dogs all my life.i stand by what i said.i would teatch the pup not to be so rough when playing with older cats.lessons for pups are to be teach early and when opportunity is there so they grow up and have manners.period
i thought this video was funny, puppys are very playful... they like to play. If anyone owns a cat and dog, they would know that if that cat really didn't want to be bothered it would scratch and bite back, to the point where it would make that puppy run away or fear that cat : )
saying "oh the dog is hurting the cat!" shows how much some of you people actual know about animals and how ignorant you are to assume such thing without any real knowledge about the whole situation.
The owners laugh at the whole "play" but that Akita is bang out of order and has not been properly socialised.....! Clearly some people should not have these pets!
My shiba does the exact same thing. When it gets too much for the cat, the cat will slap my shiba so she screams. Its the amazingness of nature, and how animals interact. No harm done, they must learn their way, both of them.
Maybe the cat and the dog grew up together so that's why they are not fighting but playing and i believe in the saying: don't judge the book by it's cover! And what these pets are doing are natural to themselves because it's not like they've just met, and they're just playing, the cat is not hurt, the cat just doesn't want to play with the dog, but i like this cat as much as the dog because they love each other... :3 p.s. look on further before you judge... watch the video carefully!
Jesus christ, is there any animal video on youtube without some nature faggot shouting AAAGH THIS IS ABUSE, YOU DID THIS WRONG AND THIS WRONG BECAUSE MY LIFE IS PERFECT AND AMAZING SO BLEH. dudes just enjoy the video
@Mrssoappeddler I think you need to reassess your perception of the word stupid. You should do it while looking into a mirror. I think the new definition will come to you.
@ZoyitaBlade I agree !! Play = FUN and with the sounds the kitty is making it's clear kitty is NOT having fun. That's the time for the pet parents to put a stop to the rough behaviour. It's one thing to play ... play IS good, but a responsible pet parent (just like a human parent) knows when a time out is required.
@ZoyitaBlade That's because you have no idea how animals play. To everyone crying: if the cat was in distress it would have clawed the shit out of the puppy. It's older and understand that the dog is young so it puts up with its nonsense. Next time you want to whine and condemn the owner try learning about how animals actually behave instead of using the logic of a 11-year-old girl and shut the fuck up.
First of all with my comment i didn't disrespect anyone, you need to learn some manners. The dog is playing rough period. And BTW im receiving a lot of private messages for people complaining about my comment, if the owner of this pet is ok with his cat being treated like this by the dog is the owner problem not mine.
@Kagemusha08 The cat was in distress, you claim you know how animals behave, yet you identify a cat's yowl as playful. The only thing this cat understood is that it doesn't stand a chance against this dog so it tried to escape. Furthermore, biting a cat's ears can easily lead to infections in this area, ultimately forming abscesses, you should never let a dog or another cat bite its ears. Finally, telling people to shut the fuck up surely shows more maturity than a 11 years old girl.
@Kagemusha08 You make me laugh. Not all cats claw someone like crazy if they're not happy. My old cat for intense was very shy and never once bit/scratched or hissed at anyone, even when I caught my friends kid trying to hurt it, but it did make the cat even more timid then usual. So why don't you "shut the fuck up".
@ElvisLivesUpstairs I agree. I understand that animals play but what if they have their cat was declawed? how could she claw the shit out of him? <- at Kagemusha
@ElvisLivesUpstairs While it is true that some cats aren't fighters, this cat's fur was not raised, it's ears weren't laid flat, and it never once snarled or hissed. Those are three instinctive reactions that cats, even meek ones, will have during times of true distress. My cat's never even swiped at a person, but the first time he met my dog he pinned his ears back and hissed. Learn some basic animal behavior before you start preaching. This cat's just annoyed.
@ZoyitaBlade I don't think you understand the cat very well. Cats are pretty hearty and if they want to resolve a situation, they will. I just got a Shiba Inu and I have two cats. Interesting fact: Shiba Inus and cats are very much a lot alike. If the cat wants out, it will protest and find a way out. It appears to me that the cat is a fair amount older than the dog, and I am sure the dog knows who's boss.
@Conversekindofgirl The first dog I purchased was a Shiba. Do your research and you'll be fine. I recommend a bell on the door and teach it to swat or bump it when it wants to go out, that was the best thing I ever did with my dog.
Really it comes down to a good routine. Don't believe everything you read. Everywhere says this breed is a darter.. I walk mine off the leash and if he wanders I offer him some cheese and he beats me to the door :-P Maybe I just got lucky though.
Why didn't u break that up? That wasn't a friendly bite. Shiba's were bred for hunting boar and birds. It knows it can take sown a cat. The sog also had the cat in a corner which i can tell u cats hate
@belevit Uh, yeah, the cat has hands, but they're called paws. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I've owned a TON of pets in my 30 years of life. Probably more than you've ever owned, or even lived. I volunteer at a local animal shelter to help abandoned/abused dogs and cats find good homes. I also donate to the World Wildlife Federation every year to help animals all over the world. What have you done to help out, except find time to complain on youtube to people you don't even know?
@belevit why did you let a dog bite down on your ear? even if you don't have hands, you have legs, right? you can move your body, get into a seated position, or even stand up. Plus, if it was a puppy, then it was playing. Puppies do have sharp teeth, which is why we train them to not nibble on things they shouldn't. Train them early and you'll have a healthy, balanced dog when it gets older. I don't see how this makes me a "bumb" ass, but you're obviously an expert.
Don't mind StPetesYTSMemptyA320....he's just upset that he was finger raped by a big, hairy, sweaty guy when he was younger, and the rapist let a Shiba lick his balls!!!!
you need to stop that behaviour right now or that dog will kill the cat when its older. And not just the cat. Sort it out or you will get someone or thing hurt !
After reading some of the comments, I would like to add that I needed to teach my St Bernard how to play with a toy Yorkie. She(the bernard) would get frustrated otherwise-but once she figured out how big she was and how to play(I.e laying down;nuzzling), they have had tremendous fun ever since! Playing vs showing dominance, luckily, is easy to differentiate :)
Dog: Gimme some lovin!
Cat: No! D;

DEEinBCisME 2 months ago
@ZoyitaBlade That's because you have no idea how animals play. To everyone crying: if the cat was in distress it would have clawed the shit out of the puppy. It's older and understand that the dog is young so it puts up with its nonsense. Next time you want to whine and condemn the owner try learning about how animals actually behave instead of using the logic of a 11-year-old girl and shut the fuck up.

@Kagemusha08
First of all with my comment i didn't disrespect anyone, you need to learn some manners. The dog is playing rough period. And BTW im receiving a lot of private messages for people complaining about my comment, if the owner of this pet is ok with his cat being treated like this by the dog is the owner problem not mine.

@Kagemusha08 well said!

ElvisLivesUpstairs 1 month ago 26
@ElvisLivesUpstairs I agree. I understand that animals play but what if they have their cat was declawed? how could she claw the shit out of him? <- at Kagemusha
CrissiHiME 1 month ago

@ZoyitaBlade that's not rough at all. That is very very gentle. If it was rough, the cat will let him know.

I've heard that it's a very dangerous dog and not considered a breed for a first time dog owner.
should i get one or not ? D: i really want one :c please reply .
Conversekindofgirl 3 months ago
@Conversekindofgirl The first dog I purchased was a Shiba. Do your research and you'll be fine. I recommend a bell on the door and teach it to swat or bump it when it wants to go out, that was the best thing I ever did with my dog.
Really it comes down to a good routine. Don't believe everything you read. Everywhere says this breed is a darter.. I walk mine off the leash and if he wanders I offer him some cheese and he beats me to the door :-P Maybe I just got lucky though.

i wonder that cat is male or female? xD
MrBalsamista 3 months ago
Why didn't u break that up? That wasn't a friendly bite. Shiba's were bred for hunting boar and birds. It knows it can take sown a cat. The sog also had the cat in a corner which i can tell u cats hate

@GHETOyeti Unless the cat is declawed, it could have broke it up any moment it wanted to

Paz <3

@belevit Uh, yeah, the cat has hands, but they're called paws. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I've owned a TON of pets in my 30 years of life. Probably more than you've ever owned, or even lived. I volunteer at a local animal shelter to help abandoned/abused dogs and cats find good homes. I also donate to the World Wildlife Federation every year to help animals all over the world. What have you done to help out, except find time to complain on youtube to people you don't even know?

Anihihi 3 months ago
@belevit why did you let a dog bite down on your ear? even if you don't have hands, you have legs, right? you can move your body, get into a seated position, or even stand up. Plus, if it was a puppy, then it was playing. Puppies do have sharp teeth, which is why we train them to not nibble on things they shouldn't. Train them early and you'll have a healthy, balanced dog when it gets older. I don't see how this makes me a "bumb" ass, but you're obviously an expert.

animals wiser than "homo sapiens", so they know the limits of game. Those dislikers are just faggots.

you need to stop that behaviour right now or that dog will kill the cat when its older. And not just the cat. Sort it out or you will get someone or thing hurt !

Trouble if that dog didn't learn to be a little less dominant. Are they getting along now?
bigboy45454545 4 months ago
After reading some of the comments, I would like to add that I needed to teach my St Bernard how to play with a toy Yorkie. She(the bernard) would get frustrated otherwise-but once she figured out how big she was and how to play(I.e laying down;nuzzling), they have had tremendous fun ever since! Playing vs showing dominance, luckily, is easy to differentiate :)
