  • Wonderful!

  • @pianogirl98 Thanks!

  • Hi Mary! I hadn't been checking my inbox I guess, and just saw this. Very nice! :) Thanks for sharing it.

I really need to record some new pieces and fix the recording transfer glitches in the ones I have (the clicking and popping noises). Hope you're having a great 2010.

  • I love this very much... You are such a great player Mary ...

Brahms is my teaching line and yet I play very little of him..lol

    Very nice .....

    Dave .

  • I am sorry only now posting a reply. Your performance matches all standards of a professional recording. Congrats

  • You always play music that i really wouldn't choose to play myself, but i always like the pieces you pick out. It's always so nice hearing you play. i'm glad you posted something. i hadn't seen anything from you lately.

  • Very well, but let us see your beauty face while you're playing

  • Just lovely...

  • One of Brahms' late introverted beauties. Nicely done Mary Ruth. (And I thought the 2 against 3 was just fine.) 8^)

  • Thanks..

.yes, the 2 against 3 is okay NOW, but it really was hard for me at the time that I first learned this piece.

The introversion of this piece is what appeals to me.

  • Bravissima !!!!

    Serena

  • Wow, it's a wonderful piece. I did not know it and I am German. ;-) Thanks for giving me knowledge about J. Brahms. You played it great as usual.

  • Thanks,very nice and sweet 5*****Mario-Lima-Perù.

  • beautiful. I'll share it on FB. I like it.

  • I like you playing piano;-))))) 5*****

  • Thanks Mary - That was beautiful. Sure wish some of my kids had continued with piano for a few more years. I wonder how long it would take my oldest to learn this. He took piano for about 10 years.

  • thanks so much for sharing MaryRuth, very well done!

  • OMG.........my mum totally loves this piece. She has the sheet music for it too. You play so beautifully. Im going to make my mum listen to you. When a very special friend of hers died about 5 years ago. This piece was played to her and thats when she discovered it. Your amazing and thanks for sharing :) xx

  • THANKS!!! I love this piece, too. From the very first moment I heard it I had to learn it.

  • You did a great job with the feeling and everything. :)

  • The 2 against 3 was a challenge for me because I am not very good at that. HA!

  • That was beautiful! I should learn this. I did learn it in part as an arrangement, but the whole thing is lovely! I shall have to look for it. Thanks for sharing. :)

  • It's a very emotionally satisfying piece for me to play. I absolutely love every part of it. It touches my soul.

  • Brahms is just the best. I was playing some today myself. Have you done some of the others, too? Good stuff... yea!

Nice job. When you love something, it shows.

  • This is the only Brahms that I know WELL. I've played around with the waltzes. Do you have any suggestions?

  • Get a book of all the short works and i don't mean the waltzes . There are lots of Intermezzi and other works- op.116, 117, 118, 119. You may like op,117, No.1 ,No.2 and Op.118, No.5. All of these opuses I know you will love every note of.

  • So this is what you've been working on! Loved it. This is one of my favorites by Brahms. Your phrasings and dynamics are very nice. Just beautiful.

  • Hi! Actually, I learned this one a few years ago and I've dug it out again. I'm playing it on Sunday at church and then at a piano Soiree. I love this piece. It's my husbands favorite.
