But when it came to the part where the guys say, "And I thank You, thank You, Lord" and the ladies repeat it in the background, I was in AWE of God right then! The way the guys sung it and then the ladies repeated it reminded me of a beach, with God's waves of mercy and grace rushing to shore! And it was wonderful!

I first heard this song back in 1999 at a conference called Focus 99. I was in a workshop for music leaders. At the end of the workshop, the guy who was leading it said he was now going to be silent and if the Lord put a song on someone's heart, feel free to lead out with it and everyone else could sing, too. After a few moments, one girl led out with this song. I was just silent because I didn't know the words to it.
