there is only 1 sec school that takes BB seriously UK. Oh, you could say florida has had some great teams in recent yrs BUT theSEC is first and foremost a FOOTBALL LEAGUE (i love sec football by the way)

I agree, UK is the main one, and Florida has had a couple good years, but there is usually always 5-6 SEC teams in the field of 64 on a yearly basis. People overlook a lot of SEC teams. SEC football does kick ass pretty much, too. But I believe that you should'nt overlook SEC basketball, it's just as competitive as any other league.

UK can stand on its own, Baldy. UL can't even stand in the BIG EAST. A couple down years for UK and all you Card fans claim UL has the edge. Sorry, it took a lucky last second shot at the end of regulation for the best team in the BIG EAST this year to squeeze by an NIT bound UK team in one of the worst years in SEC history. UL should have chalked up a 25 point rout of UK, hate to see the score next season for UL fans such as yourself.

baldy, 22,000 is smaller than Rupp, UK has state of the art practice facilities, and UofL has been in the BE what, like 6 or 7 years? Big Blue Nation sells out Rupp basically every game, annually. The SEC annually has as many top 25 teams as the BE, and usually more. (look it up). You should review the BIG BLUE facts before you start thinking you're all that slick. BTW Go to Rupp sometime during the UK/UL game if you haven't already, nobody else in the country has a fan base quite like us.

I've always liked the Cardinals in basketball going back to the late 70's. Rick Pitino needs to get some better recruits. Louisville has a nice program but they need more "blue chippers". I'm a Michigan Wolverine fan all the way but Louisville has been solid since the Denny Crum era.
