Nothing like as good as the original - they completely rob it of its energy. The only plus point is the clarity of Tom's voice meaning I finally get to find out what some of the lyrics are.

They ruined the song, undeniably... and there is something I don't get: what's the point of listening to bands that sound all the same??

Stereolab were always very original and pretty inventive, you can easily recognize their sound... whenever I listen to Editors I can hardly differentiate them from Interpol

i cant say that i dont like The Editors - I haven't heard enough of them; they're too fashionable for me to listen to. However, this is a very good cover of a classic track.

Much prefer this version to the Stereolab one, Editors do songs better than most and this is just another example

@castleraider I agree. It is impossible to ruin a song with Tom Smith's voice. I gave the original one from Stereolab a try and didn't really like it.

It is a great cover, but nothing compares to the original.

It's like The Ramones, covering The Doors, great cover, fucking brilliant, but nothing compares to the original.
