  • Thank you so much for this video it really helped me for my exam.

  • @ealaniz33 you welcome!

  • Thanks today I passed the practical. It help me so much. Thanks again

  • @hongphuongify You welcome! And CONGRATULATIONS!

  • And do you have a video for the Virginia Cosmetology State Board Practical? Thank you.

  • @nakidme No, I am not familiar with Virginia State Board's Practical Exam. I hope you have the NIC exam that all the states are trying to get to be the same in all states, if that so, our exams will be the same. Your state board website should have guidelines for your practical. I found this link that has some info; but this post does not allow web links, just try wvbbc for more info; Just add the dot com after the wvbbc. Hope this helps. They have a pdf for guidelines for practical.

  • If you drop a comb or something else, can you pick it up or just leave it on the floor until you're done?

  • i wanted to know for the manicure... are we only putting polish on one finger?

and also for the hair cut... i know we're supposed to cut the guide with the razor, but the rest of the hair i don't know what to do... could you help me out and tell me how i'm supposed to cut my models hair? layers? or could i just do a square one length? you've been helping me out so much.. sorry for all these questions haha.

  • @lasadgirl28 For the manicure; you manicure one hand, and then you put the base coat, polish, and top coat on the whole hand (one hand only). For now, they would like to see more of a layer haircut; razor guideline, then elevate the hair at the nape area and layer, then elevate higher and cut the rest of the hair with scissors. The examiner will check your haircut for balance, but, don't worry, it is only 2 points for quality.

Feel free to ask more questions.

  • do you change your gloves in between tweezing and waxing???

  • @CADIGRLS I think you can keep your gloves for both waxing and tweezing, but if you are not sure, changing them won't hurt; you won't lose points; that is.

  • Do you have a container for the blade after the cut is done with the razor???

  • Im glad that it has changed. this looks SO much easier.

  • are these procedures, set procedures? i won't have to worry about getting a facial for oily skin using dermal lights like white, blue, or red? or for nails such as paper wrap, brush on liquid nails...

  • @lasadgirl28 Yes, so far, these procedures are set procedures, since the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology has issued a handout instructions, and those are procedures stated in it. So far, the students that have taken the new exam have told us that there are no nail wraps or facials, but there is an acrylic nail (just one).

  • Great video too bad your from Cali. I need to practice for my stateboard practical im in Texas.

  • @Yizaira If Texas is doing the NIC state board; the national one; it is almost the same. Well, good luck with your test.

  • What do you have to wear or stateboard cause when I went I rented the white coat

  • @mzfetch323 You can wear all black clothes, the coat is not mandatory any more for state board
