Shares much in common with alternate paramount toon Super Lulu. Giant is the same albeit beardless and Popeye "flies" to the giant's face, then flips the giant through a building. Further Popeye "converts" his nevvys into seeing it his way as did Lulu change her father's attitude about comics.

One of the best Famous Studio Cartoons I've seen. When I was a kid, ( many years ago) I always thought the part where Popeye " lets the giant have it" the giant looks like a Asian Guy! Thanks for sharing.
@stripperella1sthubb Paramount/Famous recycled the jump-started hen gag from the Baby Huey cartoon, "Quack a doodle doo". She eats vitamins or spinach, her ovaries backfire and sputter making traveling bumps all over and then explodes with a huge egg or an impossible clutch. It was also used in "Farmer and the Belle"
@stripperella1sthubb Little Audrey in "Goofy Goofy Gander" visits the land of Mother Goose and sees the Goose that lays the golden eggs (in time to music no less) but doesn't blow up like the others. 1950-51 was a big time for this gag.
Drugs? Uh, right. In this 'toon it's the giant's roaring that does the trick.
I can't get over how much Popeye's nephews look and sound like him. :)

Didn't the hen did the same thing in the Little Audry cartoon?

@zuiderzee98 It was drugs, and it wasn't the same. It's in a Little Audry cartoon where she went to Storyland/ Toyland.

Thanks for the upload.
I've been looking for this one for awhile now. Glad to see Popeye rescue the golden hen, and give the giant a beating. ^_^
