@saratoga682 I was land-based the entire 4 years I was active navy. During that time, I was on the FCLP team, and I can 100% agree that even in a controlled environment, those carrier landings (even simulated) are scary indeed, whether landing or watching from the pickle.

@saratoga682 ABE have the most dangerous job of hooking that bird (Jet) to the cat(catapult). while your hookin the bird up you can feel the air moving past you into the intake of that jet, whether its a Hornet, Prowler, or Hawkeye. the Hawkeyes scared me most being so close to those props(propellers). but standing back by the gear(arresting gear cables) while that bird lands is just as dangerous too for an ABE. if that cable snaps they're the first to get hit by that cable.

I have to say that many younger people today often swear unnecessarily but when you are launched off the deck of a carrier I am more than happy to give a pass. Furthermore, I want my pilots and defenders of my freedom to be able to swear loud and clear and be tough as nails.

Even if we rewind back to Youtube I posted a video about UFO which I filmed myself and there is some people that make jokes with that, I really don't care, this videos are not for them anyway. @felcas First off, there are a lot of people (mainly teenagers) on Youtube that use a stupid, tired meme of "did he/she died?" and think it's supposed to be funny. It's annoying. Statistically, most people that watch an F-14 video are American.

Secondly, if you're watching the video, why are you in such a hurry to post? A; you can pause, B; you can pull it back, C; you could wait until the end of the video to comment, D; you could make the comment and still only miss 5-7 seconds of the video.
