Hi ewupawly,yr settings sounds ok.Since u have a 2s drop time the weight should be sufficient. Use the extended weight bar.U should do the left right swing first. If it swings madly, adjust the t bar towards the stage.if it goes to close to the gimbal add more weights and extend the t bar further away from the gimbal, then repeat the test. Once that is done do the same for the fore n aft. When both are completed test the drop time. Goodluck.
hi. how long can u use this handheld? also in the vid u said problems upgrading to full rig. do u mean u can't buy a vest and arm in the future to use?
Nay.. its not that bad. If it can do it with Glidecam there is no reason why it cant be done with this. One thing to note is the direction of the weights does not affect the performance. Just balance it the way you want it to be during operation
Great footage & nice presentation!

I'm using the Canon 7d with Tokina 11-16 lens. I just got the Blackbird and I can't get this thing
to balance to save my life. I tried 1 big weight on each side I tried 1 big weight and a half weight on each side.
The thing sways like crazy. I got the drop time pretty close to 2 seconds one time but there is just
too many variables. New instructional video helped none it didn't even mention the two sizes of T Bars
and how to figure out how much weight to put on.

will any parts rust? Do we have to grease it frequently? Tks!

I dun see any issue with the blackbird as the NX5 is pretty light. Just to be on the safe side, double-check the payload and weight to confirm.

Hey Sean, will the Blackbird works with the new Sony NX5U?

Thank you for this nice review! Like!!
If i understand you right you would prefer a quickrelease over the camera mounting plate von CMR?
Which kind of quick release? Manfrotto, Giotto ...
Thank you!

Yes. I did it with the Sony EX1 and Canon XH-A1. A1 was ok but EX1 is too heavy for the hands.
