Heard really good reviews of the album,even stellar,that this is the best thing they have ever done. I have loved their music of the past. If this song Tattoo is a litmus of the album? my God gag me,wtf. This sounds old as fuck,it's like they never moved,or progressed in sound.

Well, I'll Buying the Album. (Why). For the sole reason that I support this Band ! I started listening to Van Halen in 1982, and all though High school their Music gave us kids lots of "Party High's" ! (class of 88). And at our House-Parties there was always some VH in the Background, so many Memories . I'm proud to say, that I've been to Four VH Concerts.And hopefully this spring, will be my Fifth .When I listen to an older Van Halen Album (1984 or 5150), It gives me a Happy Feeling Inside !

Usually the vaults get raided of second rate material when a artist passes away; no longer in control of what's released. This is a major disappointment bad lyrics, recycled guitar licks from the '80s, shitty melody. Only hardcore jonesing fans can get excited about this.

@Lilybro2806 Oh I agree... sounds like the good old VH, only much worse. Old Van Halen has that punch that just shouts out at you: Roth's lyrics and vocal presentation creative and classic, unforgettable, Ed's screaming licks and tasty solos, the awesome backing vocals. I hardly remember how Tattoo goes after ten minutes... just plain mediocre. Worst lyrics since I tried to listen to DLR's solo career and Roth gave a tired performance at times too IMO :(

The Song Sucks and the video is gay...I don't mean homosexual gay. I mean open jam gay. Bad hair, bad grooves and Dave's voice is to loud in mix. You have Vegas frontman with a young bass player and a lousy, mailing it in guitarist. The drums are a bout the only thing worth being positive about...Just sad after such a long break. 4 rich guys come out with ZZ top fodder.

The video is more fun than the song. Eddies' guitar was pretty ordinary and what surprises me the most is how no one is picking up on Eddie's voice during the chorus. That low end register is him with Dave. It's an okay song. But lets be honest here. If Van Halen had been releasing records on a regular basis, this song would not be the novelty people are giving it today. I think once the dusts settles, fans will find a more grounded perspective. I'm hope the rest of the record is better.
