  • Yessssss feel good music... that real shit... hip hop i love

  • brownride i hear you. you go a point about 80's & 90's rap. some of it was crap. some of it was good. it just depends on what you like. i'm from austin texas and i spent my summers in philly. my friends from philly wasn't feeln texas rap and my boys wasn't feel eastcoast rap. but i listen to everything. not just one group. doesnt matter what era its from. i listen to it all!

  • BR1AN21SON you hit it right on the nose! true hip hop! Its a meaning behind the song! not a bunch of hoop la!

  • he said classic hip hop for life

  • i love my years of growin up on hiphop

1980 at age 8 - SUGAR HILL first album "RAPPERS DELIGHT"

1984 at age 12 - THE PEAK OF THE BREAKIN ERA & RUN-DMC arrived

    1988 at age 17 - RAKIM, KOOL G.RAP, KANE, & KRS-1 was out

    1993 at age 21 - WUTANG arrived

1995 at age 24 - EAST & WEST COAST RAP was at its peak, & the NEWYORK club seen was HOT

    2003 at age 31 - G-UNIT & EMENEM was on FIRE

but now in 2009 at age 37, HIPHOP IS DEAD, but im fortunate to be young in its best years :)

  • thats whats up nevawrong. Im 21 now so I grew up a lot with the wutang when i was younger. but Hip-Hop is not dead just in the clubs and radio..you got to look in the underground now.

  • TRUE

  • wtf hip hop is'nt dead, on the radio and tv yes. But if you look for the ny underground shit. Even H-town got some nice shit droppin', like z-ro, trae and big pokey. When you talkin bout club music is all played out imo, but you can't front on it cuz it's just party music now nothing real shit

  • ha took the words out my mouth bra TRAE Z-RO put it down & are makeing some tite music even makeing cuts with

jada kiss radio/t.v. hip hop is dead & lil wayned out but like you say you have to dig for real modern rap classics

  • TRUE

  • dayuummm im 16 n i gotta say u r soooo lucky dude.

  • who? nevawrong??? man pound 4 pound that hole break dance rap shit was a era but not great quality music they rapped half the time useing heavy breathing & caughs & laughs rakim & krsone were some of the 1st NICE rappers that maid sence threwout there songs & they were 88-early 90s nowdays if cats rapped like they did in the early-mid 80s we would still be saying hip hop is dead there songs were nonesence for the most part just club/party songs... underground rap is wear its at & allways been!

  • hmm maybe so i couldnt say cuz i wasnt around. i was only referencing to the 90's really tho. i woulda loved 2 see wu tang in their prime. n gang starr. n of course pete rock and CL

  • hmm only referencing the 90s to a guy who has been listening to rap/hip hop music for like 30 years??? wow you are young you can still catch gangstarr in true form & wu tang ahhhhh... they are unique

but B.I.G. would of been a site to see he is lyricly fit!!! a story teller/rapid fire rym spiter all at the same time wish i could of seen him & rakim after the 18th letter

  • sad part is i wasnt even talking 2 u....

  • sad thing is you posted your comment on a page for every body to see/responde to..

    .

  • it was great quality music in the early 80's rap era. it was the begining stages of the rap flow, & it sounds way better than this wack style today, & the early 80's rap beats were way better also. from RUN-DMC, LL COOL J, SALT N PEPA, UTFO, SUGAR HILL GANG, FUNKY 4 PLUS 1, FURIOUS 5, WHOUDINI, ROXXANNE SHANTA, MC SHAN, KURTIS BLOW, KOOL MOE DEE, FAT BOYS, HECKLE & JECKLE, BEASTY BOYS, B-FATS, & a few others sounds much better than the rap in 2009.

& im glad i was from that era, : )

  • a im not put n down the good old school music but some of that music was just shit! so is much of the t.v./radio/club/ring tone rap/hip hop young

cats make/listen to today but at least this

new shit is kinda catchy shit music maid to make $... sorry to say but wayne sounds better then run dmc even thow his songs are non sence!!! the fat boys

even some salt & pepa songs some of there music was fucking garbage a joke

even if they were great quality in the 80s breathing hard/caughing isnt rap!

  • youre only 24, so thats why you have that ignorent state of mind about the oldskool hiphop sound, because you werent really around yet, lol

you are more intuned with the newskool bullshit thats out today, lol

  • lol yeah o.k. man talk out of ur ass if u

want to about my age & taste in music but

run dmc/fat boys music was never easy

on the ear if u like em u like but there

music sounds like a bad joke! man gil scott heron was one of the O.G. rappers

he maid way better music then run dmc bobby womack as well but he was more of a singer but makeing way better music

so were the isley brothers & the gap band

id rather listen to them old school groups

then any 1 of the groups u mentioned from the 80s!

  • fuck u i grew up on real old school music on bands& singers like the gap band, earth wind & fire, the brothers johnson, isley brothers, minnie riperton, sly

& the family stone, bobby womack, rick james, chaka khan & many others like rakim, krsone in your era but i kinda skip that era cuz that sound dosent appel to me mainely run dmc most of the beasty boys work the fat boys & mc shan is co i just dont like were his sound went... i listen to everything thow smart ass just not bullshit no matter what era!

  • damn i wishi could say the same. lol. i am 15 and missed all that. now i am stuck growing up on soulja boy in clubs and lil wayne being ''' THE BEST RAPPER''' that makes me laugh always. classic hip hop for life.

  • lol, thats alright tho youngsta, because as long as you know that the olskool hiphop is better than this bullshit today, then you actually can still represent the olskool.

there's young homies in my hood thats like 15, 18. 22, 25 years old who only listens to 80's & 90's rap, because they can connect more with it than this new rap sound.

so even tho youre young, u can still represent the OL SKOOL HIPHOP lil homie : )

  • peep out Z-RO or TRAE even atmosphere

hi tek they are put n out some nice music

oh dead prez & talib kweli & a few others

  • The instrumental is on Mushroom Jazz

  • one of the best trax ive ever heard

  • CL is truly Smooth!

  • Feel good music!!!
